Default Not A Good Ending To G11 For Me!!!!!!!!!!

The show was awesome. On my way home from the G11, no further than a mile away on the interstate i was in the slow lane after merging into traffic, just getting up to speed and there was a HUGE tire ccarcus in my lane and I had no where to go but straight into it!!!!.The damage consist of a billet grill somewhere on I75 North,my tranny cooler dragging along the ground after i ran over it pouring fluid everywhere.Front clip is busted and my driver's side front fender is cracked. The worst part is the hot part's on the driver side turbo is all damaged also!!! The intercooler has seemed to survived. There is no visible damage, but I will look it all over in the morning.it seem's to alway's be something with this car lately?

That sucks, friggin truck tire got me on the way to Commerce a couple weeks ago also - bent the driveshaft in my truck and smashed the front of my trailer in pretty good.

I hate them truck tires, and every time I get near Atlanta it seems like I run atleast one over..

Damn man, that sucks. I have had my experience with that exact same situation and it just kinda makes you sick. I stopped by to talk to you saturday but you probably didnt recognize me with the shades and shaggy hair. My buddy was the big red headed kid with glasses asking all about your turbo saturday morning. Car is/was looking good and scarey as hell

Well, I just got done surveying the damage and it seem's 90% of it is cosmetic's. That tire tore out the inner fender well's of the front and back on the driver's side. On the hot part's it is the pipe off of the manifold to the turbo that is damaged when the wastegate dump pipe crushed into it. So all I have to do is remove that pipe and take it to john and have the flange's cut off and rewelded to the new one. Luckily this is the side where it is just a 90 degree pipe with no weld's to make the bend's.The intercooler and piping is ok.

Sorry I did not recognize you but I do remember the both of you coming over and talking with me.it should not take long to fix. The body shop will be the longest part of it.

I hear ya , man. I was on the interstate when I had my '87 Corvette , the tire came off the truck right beside me and did a pretty good number on the right front of the car.

Very sorry to hear that man!! I had some bad luck too, my alternator took a dump on I75 and the car died on on the 285 ramp onto 85. Had to leave it, run home and get the truck and trailer and go get her. I sure as hell didnt want to leaver her there, luckily my friend was with me in his Z28, so we got home to the truck in no time!!
