Default Lr Guys: Busted Tailshaft Housing Racing 2 Bikes

Well it was going great, two (what appeared to be 600s or so) on I-30 riding side by side with me behind them. One of them motioned to the other to go
and when they did all hell broke loose. I opened it up and pulled into the center lane to get around them. Got right to the rear tires and about 135mph
POP!! Fileld the interstate with white smoke and limped it on down to 65th st of all places HEHE. That sucks. Anyhow, does anyone know why I keep breaking tailshaft housings. Managed to find one in Jacksonville at Quality Trans for a good price.

Also gotta a hella deal on a car hauler trailer about 6 yrs old, wood floor, ramps, straps, new tires, and a Snap-On road box with a few craftsman tools inside.
Asking $1500 for everything, will sell just the trailer without the box for 1000

send me a MSG if interested

go ahead and post if you have any ideas with the tailshaft housing!

Steel driveshaft? They don't like the high speeds....Bene broke his a couple months back on a high speed run. If you have a steel one, that's my guess. Get an aluminum one and call it a day.

Got the tailshaft housing in. Up and running again. Will probably be investing in a alum. driveshaft and an adj TRQ arm sometime in the next few cold months. I'll get in touch with you Kelt when I get ready to spen the money and see if you still have it.

Yep the steel ones don't like it as much, and it could very well be out of balance. I 'd just get that aluminum one from Keltner.

To be honest, I can't remember either. I'll take some pictures after I change my oil this weekend.

That will help you figure it out..compare them with mine and see if you will have some clearance. It may be a tight fit..
