but just a question that didn't get answered.......WHO has the meet on the third sat at the other sonic? ricers? anybody can come? i'm just curious. once we get going on our end then we can take a field trip one day.

steve, caddobass did make a good point about the other burger places having parking directly behind them connected to their lots. do we wanna switch to another burger place or are we sticking with sonic? of course at 7pm there is a tire place next to sonic that will be closed and their lot will be empty.

I live off Airline and pass that Sonic every Sat. night. To be honest, it would appear to be a buncha highschoolers. There's a bodykitted Eclipse that's ALWAYS there...and a ton of "young looking" people sitting on tailgates, etc. I see no definitive "car crowd" there. BUT...I think it'd be funny and quite entertaining to have a buncha F-bodies show up and make 'em **** their pants.

I won't be able to make it. I am about 3 hours away. A liitle more notice and i will be down. I want to try and meet some other f-body people, because where I am there are'nt many.

I'll try to be there (depending on some other plans we already had) either in my black 99 Z with welds/et streets or in my silver Avalanche. But I'm good after this weekend.
BTW, how many of you guys go race? You know we will have a field trip to RRR, that is the perfect place to go hang out. Some nights we'll have 10-15 F bodies lined up along the fence. Even if you don't race it is always a good time just hanging out there.

just to clarify its west 70th. there is a sonic on e. 70th but thats out by youree drive. just didn't want anyone to get confused....when i got out of work this afternoon i was sitting on flat on the driver rear. so i was gonna replace them anyway bc they are almost bald. so what did i do? air it up and finished em off on the way home. im gonna try to go get some in the morning so i can still bring it tomorrow. its so filthy yall don't wanna see it anyway lol.

Damn I knew that, west 70th. Are ya'll sure you want to go out in this weather they are calling for on saturday. Just not sure a outside drive in place will work. If ya'll are not up for visiting RRR for a little racing from time to time this may not be the car club I'm looking for. cainsw & myself love to race and that is where we are on alot of Fridays & Saturdays. I don't street race, but do like to go fast.

well this isn't for eveyone nobody said that. i don't particularly want to drive to gilliam just to stomp the gas. i have a family and kids and i am fully committed to them on the weekend. i just cant go hang out at the strip two nights a week. as far as the weather well if some people come during lows then more people will come in the highs. nobody said this was gonna be a 5 hour long ordeal just a way to get something started and see who really wants to hang out. nobody has to come, but....i said i will be there and i will. i am a man of my word. if im the only one oh well **** it, i will buy my beautiful wife a burger and enjoy her conversation then i will roll.

Just because you go to RRR doesn't mean you have to "punch the gas" Lots of guys just go there to hang out, not race. Maybe you should give it a try you might like it

maybe but its still a pretty good drive....that i choose not to make bc frankly its not that damn important. i see an occasional trip as cool but not "most friday and sat nights" sorry thats not me.

Corvette guys like to meet up and take about how pretty their cars are and go down to the cafe not f body guys! Lets all sell our cars and buy some mini vans and we'll start the Shreveport/Bossier Mini Van Club WWW.SBMVC.COM LOLSeriously though, what ever the reason is for you not caring about going to the track, I respect that. And I like to hangout but ooohing and ahhhhing over someones freshly waxed car isn't my thing either.
FWIW, I'm married, 13yrs with 2 daughters and they love going to the track. When I sneak off to the track and leave my 5yr old at home, she stays pissed at me for 2 days. Guess I'm raising them right
Oh and I'm FULLY COMMITTED to my family also
