Chris, the big cams will lose some bottom end power but will pick up the topend power. When i was cam only i had to twist my big cam to 7000-7200 to pick up over my little cam but then i lost the bottom end 2 weeks later.

Big cams you gotta twist the hell out of them and slap some ARP 2000 rod bolts in so you don't throw a rod through the hood

This is that cam that was in my dads a4 TA a couple of years ago. It wouldn't run in the 1/8th so he put a smaller one in his car. This was before he put your old 4000 yank in there. I think it would have run good with a bigger convert.
At 6500 my car started acting like it was floating the valves so I backed it back down to my normal 6300 shift points. My 918's are getting old. I do have another block and crank that I'm thinking about buying a good set of rods and pistons for. Then throw my Trex in there and see what'll happen. I just don't feel safe winding one of these stocker past 6500.

No Hummer you didn't really miss anything, other then a beautiful day at the track saturday. Read back in the posts on this thread and you will see what we have planned for this year & check out http://efiracing.proboards92.com. EFI Racing is where we are going with our LS1tech group. We are just changing the name to let all the other EFI cars & trucks know they are welcome to come race with us. Have a Happy New Year

I was reviewing my schedule and I will be able to make the march, july, and november runs as long as the schedule doesn't change. Now that I have every other weekend off I get to race more now.

Hey Charles get the word out to the Arkansas guys about the LS1tech racing group at Red River changing our name to EFI Racing. (htt://efiracing.proboards92.com) is the site cainsw has set up for us. We did this to let all EFI cars know they are welcome to come and join us.
