Yea Mongoose, those old rims were a big thumbs down. My 97 had some nasty wheels on it when I got it so I know the pain. That trans am I saw was the same color with a ram air hood and nasty rims also. Craig, I need to borrow the socket to get the drain plug out of the diff case. It is the big plug on the left side of the case. I am going to get some brushes tomorrow and start doing some painting. If I have a short day I will come by and pick you up so we can check the mesh on these gears and pull the axles. I want to paint the backing plates and caliper mounts. I will call you tomorrow when I get off to let you know I am coming.

I'm down, just give me fair warning as to when. Not this coming weekend but next I have to move the girlfriend back for the summer.

Yea it was almost embarrising with those old rims. Feeling a lot better about it now. Drivablility is a lot better now. Ride is smoother and its kind of nice not have the tires break free all the time instead of when I'm trying to.

Well rearend will be ready for paint tomorrow. I hope the sun comes out and the humidity goes down, might hold off til it does. I had to order sway bar bushings because the factory brackets couldn't be made to work.

I might do a watts link on the 97 in the future. Got my controller ordered today, went with the nitrous outlet one. Need to make some money so I can order the torque arm relocation bracket. Anyone looking for some ls stuff?

hell people have trouble getting parts from them when they pay for them.... i can only imagine if its free how difficult it would be.

craig, out of the two orders that will be coming your way, the more expensive one is being built and takes roughly a week, and the other one, my part was back ordered but will be in by the end of the week so i told them to wait and ship both yours and mine together. this will also keep you from tinkering with the car this weekend and making the wife mad at me for mothers day! lmao

It's all good, but I still can't wait to hit the track though. I pulled out my 10yr old R/C car to keep me busy! I kinda forgot how much fun I used to have racing on the weekends. But of course that hobby cost a lot of money too!!! Still lots of fun.

Hey Sheik, I thought you were going to come by and pick me up today?
