Yeah there are a ton of good C5Z's for sale, I just need to sell this damned GTO first. Unless I could find the way to get a set of heads and some spray then maybe I'd change my mind. I was also trying to find someone that would trade me a LS Fbody plus pay off.

I know Sheik they had one at buyavette that i really wanted, I'd prolly even trade for a FBody roller and some cash since I can get a screaming deal on a GM Truck due to my parents being GM Retirees. And then just build a really serious street car
Mike, porting 243's wouldn't really be all that smart since I can get a set of SDPC ported ls3 heads complete for 750 a head and a LS3 intake off ebay for pretty cheap, and I wouldnt have any downtime.

Speedway white only came in the 01s. Too bad some of them had major oil consumption issues. I rebuilt probably 15-20 2001 LS6 short blocks because GM issued a recall on them. The ring gap was too loose IIRC. Thanks to that little stint I can file rings and check clearance with my eyes closed.
James, you don't need heads. You need a cam that actually works for a 350-370ci engine. Not a camshaft that was originally design for a 427ci stroker 10 years ago.

its what ever you want to do james. i mean when it boils down to it, its your money. all im saying is id through a new cam in it port the 243's and spray the **** out of it. maybe thro some suspension work into it.

agreed, WTF is going on. i think what i know what it is, some of these guys didnt pay there bill this month. so did you do that swap yet?
So the gto had that little setback two weeks ago. insurance paid out pretty good. Found some parts on the internet real cheap to save a few dollars so ordered the fender and bumper i need. The body shop is pulling the dents and painting it for a very reasonable price. So with all this extra money I went ahead and ordered my cam XR281HR comp cams 228/230 112LSA. And all the goodies to go with it.
