Default attempted theft

Yep, they tried to get my car last night around 430am. Luckily a neighbor was outside and scared them off after the pushed the car into the street with the doors open and the hood popped. Cops did absolutely jack **** about it, surprise surprise. (Wouldnt even fingerprint it and I found several clear prints). Nothing was damaged, they just unplugged the wire pack that looks like it goes to the blower motor under the pass side knee bolster, undid the access panel under the nose on the pass side, and pryed the pass side door lock out the door. Car was sitting in the street facing with traffic as if it were about to be loaded onto a trailer. At least its still here and in good shape. Neighbor said it was three black guys FWIW.

That is some bullshit. You need to call the department and go ape **** on the phone. Demand they get teir asses back there and print the car, file a report, etc. If they give u the run around, call the county sheriff, city hall, etc. Call EVERYONE. Call the local news and tell them about the string of thefts going on, and how your local PD wouldnt even do their jobs. Get the PD in the media spotlight, and watch a fire get lit under their asses.

maybe even talk to a lawyer about suing the PD.

Also, i would definitely wait up with the car in the driveway, shotgun in hand. Blast those M F'ers

About the only thing the cops around here are good for is generating revenue. Sounds like thats all they are good for there too. Sorry good for nothing bastards. Glad you still have the car.

cops are pretty much useless. we had a situation at work where this crack head kept breaking in our work vans. One day he was spotted walking down the street by an employee with the same tools that were taken from his van the night before. the crack head was trying to sell them to any taker. Once he saw that he was being watched he left the tools. we followed him while on the phone with 911. the freaking useless cops would even go to where he was. I personally told one of them that one of my employees was watching him. they still wouldn't go. Best part is it was the same cop who wrote the report earlier that morning and was very aware of the situation.By the time they did get over there he was hiding in one of the vacant apartments. trust me they had more than enough time to catch him. Its like one of my employee's "they couldn't arrest someone if they walked up and turned themselves in" at any rate someone finally caught the guy and we had to id him. sad part is ony about 20% of the tools were recovered. and cops wonder why people have such negative comments.

often times, the only thing cops are good at is strong arming money from law abiding citizens through tickets and fines.
Their motto "to serve and protect" should be changed to "to fine and collect"

i live in a now more than ever, un-disclosed location. I will say that this is the first one to be stolen (or attempted) in my area though.

Ditto. I got a small arsenal waiting for them to come near my car. They won't even have a chance to put prints on it...

i got a feeling most car guys lean towards the conservative side, and with that often comes gun ownership. I know that for anyone who i caught in the act of theeft...."i pity the fool". More then enough guns for me to pass them out to the neigbors and family to take pot shots at them.
