I checked out the track this weekend. It's pretty ghetto fab but it won't get any better unless more people show up ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Cons:
1. No parking lot. You have to park in the grass.
2. Dark, there's hardly any lights so don't plan on working on your engine.
3. There's no track prep team that comes out and works on the track after a set amount of time. Consider it legal street racing![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)
4. You can't avoid the "water box"
Pros:
1. It's closer than going to Memphis Motorsports if you just want some quick drag racing fun.
2. You can pretty much go anywhere you want. Perfect place if you're a photographer and want to get up in the action without someone telling you to buzz off.
3. The strip club is only 15 minutes away![Devil](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_devil.gif)
4. They're open from I believe 7pm to midnight.
If you guys go, just keep this in mind and be careful. The entrance/exit is also the same path you take to get off the strip after making your run.

Why not make the drive to Jackson Dragway in Byram or The Junk yard in Canton. A new 1/4mile track opened up in Prentiss also so you don't have tod rive all the way to hattiesburg.

It takes you 2.5hrs to drive from starkville to jackson? If you cut down US25 the 111mile trip shouldn't take your more than an 1hr and 20mins. The junkyard race way in Canton is even closer by cutting down US25 and the turning onto HWY468.
