I know it's been bounced around a whole lot in this state, but I work for the guy who owns Batesville Motor Speedway. I just started working for him and rumor has it that he was bouncing around the idea of putting in a track on the same land the speedway is on. I hit him up about it everytime I see him. I would just like to let him know that there is a big demand for a 1/4 mile track.............

So anyone who is interested post up and let me know. If enough people post I'll print it all out and present it to him. For those of you who don't know Batesville is about 45 mins north of Searcy. A whole lot closer for everyone in the state than going to Memphis or elsewhere. Anyhow let me know!!!!!

If enough interest is shown 8-10... He's all about making money and if we show that theres a demand he's highly likely to do it. The Speedway is only used for a small time out of the year compared to how long you could have a 1/4 mile track open. Theres only 4 events left this year. That means he's only drawing income in off of those four events. If there was a 1/4 track theres at least 2-3 more months he could leave it open therefore 2-3 more months of income.



The biggest deal is that people have to show interest in it. He has to know there is a real demand for it

How could he not know. Take him to centerville, and have him walk around and ask people if there was a 1/4 closer to home than Memphis or Shreveport if they would go. I am willing to bet that 9-10 people would be interested in it.

Before even starting starting this thread, lets remember what happened from the last fiasco (Bentonites). How does the people of Batesville feel of having 1/4 mile track open in their town?

I for one would like to have 1/4 in AR, no doubt.

A 1/4 mile track beats the hell out of an only 1/8 mile.
He already pays insurance for the oval tracks he has....I assume.
It will potentially draw quite a few people that go thru the trouble of loading up and driving ALL the way to memphis. And the way fuel prices are....I think he has a good opportunity to make a profit.

why not conway?? well im movin up there with my job. and conway and ft. smith are the only places in arkansas i could choose from. so i chose conway, cuz it is a brand new base and there will be lots of work...and lots of work = lots of money.
