Here's a GMMG photo of last ZL-1 #69 & it's black. Now I'm confused

Can anyone help me here. see link...

I'm trying to fill in the blanks.

Thanks Jim
Hey Jim, I've found through my collecting that not all of those shoe polish numbers on the windshields are accurate.

(This info is off the top of my head, so don't take it for factual): All of the cars that were repainted custom colors and '69 and '67 Camaro colors started out black. All without T-tops were B4C also I believe.

As far as ZL-1s go, I think I have pics of around 30 of them. I don't think I have any pics sorted and identified yet of any of the early ones (1-15). It's hard to track them when they aren't my main interest (I prefer the '94-'96 stuff when LT1 Camaros were super popular).

Jim--How many Dick Harrell cars were made? I've never even thought about that until now.

Default DH Cars.........

I'm led to beleive 30 DH cars plus 3 PR's & maybe 1 Pilot.

Questions??? Someone out there knows for sure & can hopefully be of some help.

PR-1 Orange?? or is this Val's Buterscotch car?
PR-2 Turquoise?
PR-2 Dark Red (drag car)

Was there a pilot car?? - Butterscotch Custom or is the PR-1??

The process of gathering information is a slow one. I'm sure there is information that I have that needs correction & appreciate everyone that gives me a heads up. Over time it's getting better.

There either is or was a Dick Harrell forum where a lot of progress pics were posted when cars were being converted. I found the forum around 2004, and went on a picture saving spree. Lots of information could be found there, as I believe Matt Murphy was in fact the one posting the pictures and information.

The forum was really, really small. There couldn't have been but perhaps 20 active members. I believe there were a few ZL1 owners on there as well, or maybe I'm mixing that up with something else...

I think Helen Gibb would post on there. Her ZL1 was the purple one.

I'm not on my computer right now, but I'll check later today.

Some of these cars have unique histories already. My ZL-1 went from delivered as Phase I from Tom Henry and picked up at GMMG by me, to a P3 427 which was unable to be completed, to a SC P3 which would never run, back to a NA C5R 427 which would never run either and finally back to a Mike Carnahan built P2+ and runs like it should. So P1 to P3 to P3 SC and then to P2+. 1-2-3, actually 1, 3, 4, 2+ I guess.

I have some pics of ZL 1's over the years. Mine went from a p2 to p3 before I ever took delivery of it. I currently have the P2 motor for another project that got started but never finished.
