For 4th gens, regardless of year, 1LE is a Z28 with better suspension that is made for track racing (not drag racing). Early cars could not have A/C, power windows, and other "luxury" options. Later on, you could start getting the luxury options. For example, all '96 Camaros were required to have A/C if I remember correctly. Later, when GM stopped the 1LE option, SLP picked up the name and applied it to just the suspension package, and it could be had on an SS.
