Red face Black birds?

I was recently researching Carl black's black bird. I saw it was rated at 380 horses with just a cat back and lid. Isnt the a bit much seeing how a stock ws6 makes roughly 340 horse stock?

They didnt CNC port the manis, and there is no chip in our cars at all.. The 380 claim is kind of like the 325 claim for the ws6 its a marketing game. They do make a little more power but not that much..

So pretty much a cat back, lid&filter, pulleys, and bigger tb which probably doesnt even do anything over the stock one. Yeah 380 is too much. Maybe 360ish

This is straight from my GMMG paperwork on the Blackbird:

- Reprogrammed ECM
- Cat Back exhaust
- Carbon Fiber type air lid
- New Mass Air Flow Housing
- 180 degree thermostat
- U.D. crank pulley and belts
- GM air pump filter
- Ported exhaust manifolds with car number stamping
- 3.73 gears with special diff. cover
- Front and rear lowering springs
- Front and rear dimpled rotors

Of course, there is other stuff as well, but I figured you were only curious about these types of mods.

I read 337 horses to the wheels. Which is 382. Now it looks right with that mod list.

thx

I have worked on a buddies blackbird we put long tubes on it and kept the exhaust manifolds when we looked at them they were the exact same as the pair that came off one of my cars no difference at all... The websites dont list ECU reprograming, the TB on his car was stock as was the maf housing.

I understand that the GMMG website nor the Black Bird window sticker list the ported manifolds. I got that information from the original GMMG invoice for my particular car. I don't know what to tell you. I'm just looking at the paperwork I have. If you really want to clear things up, call Matt Murphy. I'm sure he would be happy to explain what was done.

No, I understand. Sorry if I came off as a jerk, I wasn't trying to. I was just saying that's why my info reads. But I understand what you mean.

Not to highjack the thread. I was wondering if anyone knew a person selling a Blackbird by any chance?
