is it worth it to sell my 99 t/a for an 02 CETA? both are stock motors. the ceta is an m6 and mine is an a4. the ceta has 120k miles but my t/a has 130k and new seats (corbeau), rims, viper alarm, slp exhaust, system with a DD headunit.
my paint is not that great. it has some paint flaking off. i havent seen the ceta yet but he is the second owner with all the paperwork. he also wants about 10.5k for it. so is it worth trading my regular t/a (non ws6) for this ceta?

120k miles no matter what it is isn't worth $10,000 unless it's a Corvette or something high end. If it were me I wouldn't sell to buy something in equal condition. I'd sell yours then go look for a low mile (under 50k) version which can be had for about $4000 more dollars. For some reason though everybody with a 100k+ WS6 Trans Am still thinks it's worth over $10,000. Why this I have no idea. Especially has I mentioned 40k mile ones (non CE) are in the low teens. Keep looking.

Throw out ANY notion of 'collector value' on this car or most any car for that matter with 120k miles unless it is a muscle car from the 60's or early 70's. Collectors mostly want low mileage, stock cars. There are always exceptons but a CETA not likely for the next 30+ years with those miles.
