Thanks for the answers but I prefer original GM. Frankly, most repop parts are JUNK.
After doing some research, there are a few at various dealers nationwide. The huge GM warehouse in MI has a couple.
Looks like the original GM one I have could soon be NOS.
Current retail price is $127 and change.

Didn't know WS6 and Camaro screens are one and the same. Can you post the GM part # for the WS6 screen?

SEBRING 00 i will try and find that out for you later on today, but if i'm not mistaken doesn't the SS have one big screen...my WS6 has two smaller ones...not trying to sound stupid here, but i believe that the SS has a complete different set-up...had a '99 SS but never looked to see it...of course i could be wrong and they may indeed fit both cars...have a few friends at a local chevy dealer....will post some part # this afternoon...hope it helps.

SEBRING 00...sorry this took so long, they will not give out the part #, but they do have the SS hood screen you are looking for, oem...price is $121.74...the dealership is called ...KEVIN WHITAKER CHEVROLET in greenville, S.C....phone is 864-297-0011...
and again, those screen(s) are available...and this dealer is awesome as they always have cars shows and have two showrooms full of classic old muscle cars for show and for sale...ie '63 split window 'vette....good luck though and i hope that helped you...

Thanks, I'am well aware of Hawks 3rd gen but they offer some questionable repop parts that don't fit.
A better choice might be Thirdgen Ranch.com.
Althought I understand the lower price for the repop parts, if they don't fit and funcition as OEM and you like your car original , why buy JUNK repops?

yeah i would try an stay clear of aftermarket as well, not mentioning any names here...i really learned a lot from all this, as i said i always just un-screw them both and toss them on the grass when cleaning or waxing my car, never knowing that they are becoming harder to find...learn something new everyday.

Have your own made...
If you have an original piece that's showing it's age and don't want to pay $100 plus for a new OEM replacement, find a commercial fabrication shop that has a CAD laser cutting machine. Pick the material you prefer, I used stainless steel, the shop can make an exact duplicate for $50-60. If you can't find a place, let me know, I'll talk with the owner of the shop I use and see if he'll accept your piece in the mail and do it for you.
