i am wanting to buy this 2001 camaro it has a ss hood and rear wing and a slp lid. is this just a z28 in ss clothing or a true ss??

What the hell did they do to the front bumper, I would look the car over with a fine tooth comb.

 

I'd steer clear of that car. Looks like it was hit in the front and very poorly put back together. They couldn't even spend $30 on a new bumper emblem. Overspray on all the push pins, headlight bracket, the air dam and over spray and unpainted area on passenger fender, cheap ebay headlights, fenders don't line up propperly. All signs of front end damage and a VERY cheap and sloppy repair. There are plenty of nice, well taken care of cars for sale here on the board for similar money.

 

Geez, all those pictures and not ONE of the driver's door RPO decal??? WTF?

If this car does not have RPO WU8, it is NOT an SS.

also look at the "SS" on the driver fender..it looks to me that they put them upsidedown...IMO if you cant get the letters right side up....your just a moron...lol..and trying to pass something off as something it isnt...

there are wires hanging out of the steering colum as well..

If you're looking at cars in that range, then you're not going to be picky. I will say, however, that the price is a bit high considering the mileage and its condition. ~$7500 would be relatively fair.

 

Isn't that a pontiac shifter ****? Also, it's missing the rear center mount exhaust valence. Very fishy car.

 

I would stay away from that car. From what I see,
1. front end dosnt line up.
2. the first half of the pics the front bumper isnt even all the way clipped together.
3. then they button up the bumper, put a license plate on it, clean the car, and take more pictures. wierd.
4. Missing parts: foglights, emblem, seatbelt holders, rear valence (would check to see if one was there or if they are mimicing the center exit), panel around drivers door handel inside.
5. Like said the SS emblem on the driver side is definitely upside down.
6. Wierd stripes

Could be made a nice car, but I wouldnt pay near 9k. Clean interior, i hate that the steeringwheel buttons dont work with aftermarket head units, seats look really good. But **** man, run the vin and carfax and see whats up with it

 

thank you everyone on the pointers and information. i noticed alot of what you guys did, it had a cheep maco paint job, it was hit hard in the front new hood fenders and nose, and yes ponitiac shifter, the decals where upside down. it did have the sub frame rails from BMR.

 

Run. Plus those arelnt oem slp cme tips. There aftermarket.

those gauges look funny to me too. like they arent in the exact same spots like in other maros.

course it could just be the fact they actually have the black around this cars gauges >.<

 

that ss is hit,for that price you can find a much nicer car
