Default More air to the airbox

I'm wondering if anyone hase looked at the vents in Firehawk hood that lead into the airbox. I know there is a different airbox, the WS6 airbox that has a larger opening but, has anyone enlarged the holes in the hood, the underside of the hood?

yes I've seen it. The under hood exit port opened up and foam used for a seal. I'm guessing this is what you were looking for?

Well, that is the extreme end of what I was thinking of. My Firehawk hood has (4) 1" x 2" openings and I was wondering if people saw differences in making those 1" tall openings into 1.5" or something... I suppose it doesn't do much good to have the opening in the hood larger than the opening into the airbox...

Which airbox lower are you using in the above picture? And does that car ever see rain?

That isn't his hood. I would hope that with that setup that they would be using a WS6 base.

Bottom breathing ram air kits such as the SSRA and Chrs1313 have been proven to work well also, just something to look into.

Personally I don't think its worth the potential single digit HP/tq gain.

That's interesting. I have been looking for a reason to go this Sat., maybe this is the reason.
Do you attend C&C often? I attend frequently but, not every month. I have always taken my '78 Gold TA in the past, not many birds there and 4th gen birds are even more scarce than 2nd gens.

I think I must have just missed you at C&C on Sat 01. We got a late start on Sat. and didn't arrive until 8:30. I was surprised there was such a good turn out, it took us a while to find a place to park.

Maybe you have some pictures of what you've done, can you post them?
