Absolutely beautiful example. I'm always a pretty harsh judge of these low mile cars with owners' claiming how "perfect" they are, but I'm the first to admit when a particular example is truly noteworthy as being a premium example of collector grade. The only flaws that stand out to me on this one is a sagging elastic strap on the passenger sun visor and a few minor imperfections in the engine bay and undercarriage (of which most could be easily remedied).
Competition-worthy show vehicle here. I'd buy it immediately if I was looking for one of these.

*** Update: Reserve not met and he is asking $32,550. Seems a little steep to me but maybe someone out there wants a new one for their collection. That's probably what the owner is hoping for.
That seems pretty steep for even a sub-K mile perfect example. And an A4 coupe? Hard pass. While I love the anniversary models, the '94s don't hold a candle to the '99s IMO.
That money would have grown MUCH more if invested the last 30 years, sad the car was basicaly just bought to stare at a few times. Wonder how much they lost in paying for insurance over the last 30 years?

I completely agree that cars are horrible growth investments; I would never recommend any car for that purpose unless it was a quick flip of a car that was somehow under priced (basically how dealers make money). If someone sat on this car for 30 years hoping to make money by never driving it, they made a HUGE mistake. But, with that said, I don't think it's sad at all to see cars like this. Perhaps the owner(s) has used it for competitive showing, or just enjoys owning a museum piece. Either way, it's nice that some examples like this have survived as time capsules to be appreciated by fans of this model.
^^^ I've told this story before but my late neighbor had about a dozen cars in his collection and they were treated as coins. Look, but don't touch or drive. He actually let me sit in his 1968 Mustang coupe that had a 289. It had around 13,000 miles on it and it was like sitting in a time machine. You could not find a flaw. Basically museum pieces that are preserved. He didn't care about the $$$. He was comfortable and didn't need investments.
