looking at the driver's door the RPO code WU8 appears. The vin matches the vin aon the dash. There is not an slp build sticker on the passenger side?

Very few of the 98 and newwer SS's went to SLP. They were done in house at GM. The RPO code Y2Y sent them to SLP for other upgrades.

You can send your VIN to SLP and they should be able to tell you if you have a real SS.

 

On SLP's parts website under the forums you can provide your VIN # to request the build number, that's how I got mine...

Atleast you used to be able to do that.... I look at their site now and they no longer have forums...

Guess you just need to fill out the Contact US sheet or call them
