I am 20 yrs old as well. I have a 2000 WS6. I purchased it down in Nc over my spring break last year. They set up the loanand everything ( I just needed a co-signer, my dad) My payments are $430/mo for 6 years, due to my negative equity and extended warranty. My insurance is about $180/mo All together its not a bad price for the car. I love it and would pay more for it if I had too. Goodluck man it is tough to get such a wonderful car at this age, but if its ur Dream Car like me its well worth it.

I bought my 02 Firehawk for a little more than $25,000 when I was 19. I'm 20 now and pay $200 on insurance and about $380 on car payment. My interest rate was %4.5

off to the bank today to see what I can get!

lets hope it goes well.

so what would you guys pay for the car, since the overall impression is that its a little high?

figure another $3k ontop of it due to tax, and interest rates from the loan

I'm 21. I bought a '99 firebird 3.8 when I was 17. Bought my '02 T/A in '03 Sold the '99 to my brother and the T/A is paid for. Knowing how to do bodywork is great. My payments when I had both cars was $318 a month and insureance was about $150 a month for both.

im 20 i work full time my 2000 ws6 isnt my everyday car... i been paying for everyting since i was 16... its all in how u manage your money..... my note and insurance combined is 600 and some odd cents but i guess its how bad u want a certian thing.. bein in coll i know u prob wont work full time and that means if u did get a car it might slow lots of other things down.. partying... and so on but if u really put your mind to it. its certainly a car worth it... and thats just my .02 cents

i think i will buy the car if i can get the loan. i don't have a long credit history so that'll be a problem. might put my camaro up to push some weight.

most of my money will go towards the WS6

okay, heres an update

i went to the bank, it looks like i'll beable to get the loan I need to buy the car. I talked the guy down to $20,500.
its a black WS6, 2002, 19,000 miles on it. 6spd, ttops, no cd changer, just cd player.

what do you think about that price?

also, when I buy the car, do I pay the tax on the car for MY county? or the county in which I bought it in? My county tax is 7%.....OUCH

there goes another $1500....

You can transfer the plates. You might get the bank to finance the sales tax if you have to. It kinda sucks to pay interest on sales tax though. The price seems about spot on. I told you the one you were looking at the car dealer was a steal!!!!! Anyways, you'll love ANY WS-6. Welcome to the club. Drive safe!

My bank would only finance 80% of the cars value leaving me with a 20% down payment and ~1400 in taxes to take care of. Payments are 415 a month for a 4 year loan insurance is 149.96 a month. I'm 22 soon to be 23. Got a 2002 ws6 6spd with 26k for 20K

I just turned 20, and purchased my 02' WS6 for 18,000, and it had 24k miles on it, 6spd, fully optioned with a few cool toys including stoptech brakes I purchased my car back in october. Look around for a car you can afford. And some months it looks like I am in deeper debt than I want to be, but if its ment to be, you will be able to do it.

20 when I bought the WS6. 21 now. I took out a loan for $16,500. They approved me for 18K though. I sat down and figured the minimum I could work at $6/hour and still meet the loan payment. I used $6/hour because thats the lowest I would see working hourly. Also had to do with what your APR is.

I am in college as well. If you want to know what I am making, and how I am meeting the payments, PM me .

i bougth my 02 ws6 last june with 16k miles in perfect condition, I paided 20,915 for it at 4.9 for 60mths. my payments are 391.77 and i pay no less than 400 a mth so i pay on the principle. I am in school and sometimes find it a stretch but having the ability to blow the doors off the area mustangs and ricers is worth it all! if you want the car bad enough like i did, you will make the sacrifice....long live the bird!!!!
