Although you didn't say, it should be a M6 - not a A4. Correct me if I'am wrong please.
Yup it's a 6 speed. I have about 15 sheets on it from the special orders from Scott to all SLP options and window sticker, kinda neat stuff just wish I understood more of it lol. I got a lot to learn reading those sheets. I've had a guy offer 30k for it 6 months ago. I hear the twin has 80k miles on it and is a heads and cam car. It's in the Concord, NC area. I'd love to find that guy and check out his car.

Then if you still don't know anything then why do you act like you know everything. And yes i think theoretically because apparently i can't race everybody everywhere to find a verdict to my question or thoughts. And calling me immature, look at your avatar, you have no room to speak of such claims. Have a great day i'm still learning what these cars can do and what they can't. Are the TA's heavier than our camaros? Because i've been keeping up with a few of my friends TA's that are modded, nothing extreme but still more than my car has. Also theres are autos, i've got a 6 speed, i refuse to buy an automatic performance car.

Since you are new to this, do you realize that a stalled auto will rip your M6 a new one at the track? Shifting is fun though. yes, TA's are heavier. Well, the WS-6 hood is heavier as well as some other things. Having options like leather/power seats add weight too. I'll bet a power leather seat weighs a good 25 pounds over the standard cloth pass seat.

I can testify to that! My Z M6 killed my buddies car until he threw a stall in it. He had a auto TA a real POS but the end result he beat me. Now he has a 02 CETA w/ a stick and I am beating him again. He really lacks the skill that it takes to drive a stick.

That's my picture, so thanks for saying I look immature.

Ok, so it's not, but I tell everyone that when they ask
You don't see anyone else throwing names out on here, do you? Really, this is supposed to be constructive criticism, not "you're a dickwad" - that is immature. Avatars are to lighten the mood and make each user recognizable. It doesn't quite say anything about my maturity level, and I promise you most everyone knows DMNSPD by the avatar.

You just said it yourself, you're new to this, so I do know more than you - but I don't profess to know everything.

Let's just get over the bantering because that's not what this thread is about. The point I tried to convey was that you simply shouldn't spout off about things that you really don't know about yet. Of course you think your SS is out of control and way better than a Z28, but over time, you'll learn it's not much more than a name.

DMNSPD. Your correct about what your saying but your still being a jerk about it. Noobie has a few things to learn but so do you. You still insist on dising the SS which is really the sister car to the Z28. What is an SS. Its a modified Z28. Its in limited production so it holds more value. Is it faster.. NO! and we all know that. Try to learn some respect and maybe respect will be given right back. I agree noobie didnt need to get personal, but your ridiculous banter abouit the SS is stupid. People bought what they wanted, respect it for what it is. I bought it because of the distinctive look. It stands out from a Z28 and v6. Dont end your message with a bash on the SS, its just plain ignorant. Here I'll use your example for you:
AZ28 is just a name to distinguish it from the v6 model. Sounds pretty stupid doesnt it. Theres more to it than just the name right?

This is a stupid thread. You bought your Z because you like the Z. I, and other SS owners, bought the SS because we like the look of the SS. You are happy with your Z and SS owners are happy with their SS.
Who gives a flip about your opinion of the SS?

I just have moire fun in a manual than an auto, i like to row through the gears, its just more entertaining and fun to drive for me. But an auto with a stall and some gears i know will be better unless the M6 has 4.10s and can shift pretty precise. My friend has a cammed Z thats an auto with a stall and now he is getting 3.73s put in. I know what they can do but my main point of saying that i will never buy an auto performance car is because of that new piece of ****/sad excuse for a charger they're coming with is only an auto. One more thing i don't get, why are you saying bad things about SS owners when you are one yourself? I don't think my SS will beat any Z i just know of a few that i can so i'm not saying my car has INFINITE POWER lol. Hopefully if my budget allows it, within a year i'll have what will feel like infinite power though lol, i love procharger.

If you would, please send me copies of the 15 sheets you have. I should be able to decode most if not all of it. I'am always willing to help someone with a truely Special Car such as yours. Being a fellow Tarheel is icing on the cake.

But that's a horrible analogy. There are MANY differences that set the Z28 apart from the V6. Again, Z28 vs SS - Hood, wheels, wing, badges, sway bars... Add some Y2Y options, that'll give it some more difference.

ANYWAY, since we're all on the same page that there is no performance difference, it's down to build numbers.

Again, FWIW, I bought my SS because it looked good and was a Super Sport Chevrolet. That's it. I had a Z28, but I wanted a SS because it was a SS, not because I thought it was going to be faster than the Z28.

Yeah, right, a Z28 is mostly a name change away from a V6.

I knew when I bought mine, that an LS1 is an LS1. But the SS completes the looks of the Z28. I just think it's cheezy when guys talk **** about the SS package then they turn around and buy the SS hood, and spoiler,

Plus at least around here (don't ask me why), it looks like people take better care of their SS's than their Z28s. My SS was in a better condition than similar Z28s I looked at. It's kind of retarded considering the price gap. Personally I think GM should've thrown an LS6 in the SS's and just said they were "375" like they did with the LS1s anyway.

You are so right! The more the car costs the better people take care of it. Like a Ferrari for example. An SS WS6 or Firehawk are usually not ragged out by the time they're 12 years old because people value them more- That's another reason they'll be more sought after in the future and worshipped further.

^^^ Very true, i had to go to springfield, mo to get my ss and i live in kansas city, mo so it was a bit of a trip but i did it because thats what i wanted. But when i saw the 8 kajillion Z28's sitting on the lots up here, there were only a few nice ones but a lot that just didn't look like the owners cared about them and of course i hated the ugly rims they had on them, i love my chrome 10 spoke SS rims though, and i like the chrome Z06 rims also, alot of kids up here paintg them black too, makes it look a little more racecar like. There are a few Z28's in my city though that are awesome looking, a few of my friends have put some stuff into theirs and one has an ultra Z hood and i didn't really like them before but when i saw his on his black Z with the retro Z badging, it looks great.
