Default Check out these prototype Firehawk headlights!!

I found this on E-bay. This is David Hamburger selling these. I can't believe he's asking $10K for them though!

Well Dave said on another board he went dumpster diving and saved a bunch of stuff. All this is going into his own pocket now that SLP Engineering is gone.

I PM'd the seller of the headlights & here was the reply:

With over $3 million invested in the program, the prototypes are a steal at $10K.

I'm glad they don't fit my hood and cost 10k. Not worth it.

I would've been the idiot that paid $1100.

Dave also said on the other board that he does not expect the lights to sell. But listed them in an effort to attract more business to his Ebay store.

$3 million invested in the headlight program.
I have a hard time believing that.

$3 Million and no production? That's a losing proposition if I ever heard one! Too bad you don't get the engineering/production specs with it. Wonder what it'd cost to actually put them into production.

But they won't even fit the lines of the stock Firehawk/Firebird hood.
They're bookends. Displays. That's it.

It's funny...I wonder who made the headlights on this TA...they look nearly identical to these prototypes. https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/415077-h-stripe-has-anyone-seen-thise-ws6-opinions.html

They look like they fit the lines of the quad headlamp setup to me.
Where do you see that they don't fit the lines?

Except the ones in that link have the high beams with the projectors.

That & there's only so much one can do to make the lights look different.

If you look at where the top of the headlights meet up at the front fenders, you'll see that the prototype headlights came to about the mating line of the front bumper panel & the front fender.

See the photos here, ...
http://www.firehawk.org/picturelist/1228.html

Now go look at your car, or any other 98-02 Firebird & check to see the top edge of the headlight lines up, ...

Suddenly something from the DESIGNERS of the Firehawk is now being considered rice?!?!?! You crack monkeys need to lay off the pipe. Just because it's different DOES NOT mean it is rice.

Actually, im not sure if your all aware but there IS a head light conversion out there on ebay for the Firebird guys that make it look similar to those....for about 9000 dollars less. 1k is stil a lot for some fuggin head lights, but im one to dislike flip up headlights so theyd be first on my cosemetic mods list. Type in "firebird headlight conversion" or something and they show up, only one guy carries them. i thnk they look nice
