Yes they did make a Nascar edition. My bank had a silver T/A for sale last fall. It had a badass black leather interior,Like nothing I had ever seen in a 4th gen.It had a few small nascar badges on it.

I can't say how many there are,as thats the only one I have ever seen, but it sure did look factory and authentic. I looked the car over pretty well, the interior was the only thing I noticed that was different.it had nice black leather on the doorpanels, almost like a GTP, and just a super nice looking interior

It wasn't a 30th Anniversary or Collector's Edition Trans Am with the Daytona 500 Pace Car decals on it? You didn't mention the color of the car, so I thought I'd throw that out there.

I bet one of the most EXPENSIVE and RARE parts in the future will be the factory blue 30th rims in perfect shape. Sex wheels.

Mark my words, if you have the cash now and buy a couple sets you'll make silly money just 10-15 years from now.

Yep I thought of the same thing. I might buy a set and store them for me or someone else that might need them...

The darker or lighter versions?....I've seen both at the Trans Am Nationals. It's especially noticeable when there's a row of 30th Anniversary 'birds parked together. Maybe the darker version is the correct wheel, and the lighter ones are just a result of too much polishing?

Sorry to detour the theme of the thread

I think eigther one. It's going to be hard for a chrome/polish/powdercoat shop to get that same transparent bling out of stock WS6 rims. I think the factory ones are going to be the only ones a restoration shop or owner wants to replace curbed rims with. Supply and demand. If the only ones are done from the factory, which "aint makin' 'em anymore" you'll see some rather stupid prices to get your hands on a set in the future. People that saved them from wrecked cars and so on will have a nice return for the storage time.

I wish I had a 30th ann car just so I could have those rims.

carrillo1967- if you'd polish or chrome the brake calipers on that 30th it would be near perfect... maybe add some eradispeed rotors. The rims already draw people to stare, and the dull cruddy factory stuff would really look nice if you spent a weekend with a dremel tool sanding/pimping.

Quick Reply: such thing as a nascar edition??
