3M makes double sided adhesive tape that's used to mount emblems and other stuff. I've seen it at Wally World and various car parts stores. It comes in various width rolls or you can purchase small patches (i.e., 3x5").

If the bodyshop doesn't reapply the badge with decent adhesive, it could easily come off.

Happened to me once. I had a GTP that had some work done to the driver side door. The bodyshop took off the "GTP" emblem to repair a dent and repaint. When they put the emblem back on, they used some kind of gel adhesive instead of the 3M type of tape adhesive. After a couple months, I noticed the emblem was coming unglued. I pulled off the emblem with my fingers, cleaned off the area, cut out some of the 3M tape adhesive to form fit the emblem, lined 'er up and stuck 'er on. Never had a problem again.
