Not all intimidator SS's were autographed. He actually died before they were produced. He only signed 59 or 60 gagues before he died.

^^ True about him dying before they were all done. I was at the GMMG shop looking at a -40- mile cream puff with the signed tach. The manager said 29 were signed. Somebody else said 30, but I was told 29 from the guy in charge of altering them.

I think you are right, it was 29 or 30, not 59 or 60.

Right,...Only 29 were actually autographed before Dale Sr.'s Untimely death.

I went to DEI in Mooresville, NC while on the 2006 Hot Rod Power Tour...
Anyone can purchase DEI Chevrolet Badges. Do a Search for the "Intimidator SS"
and look at the differences.
AND NO! It did NOT have that shitty Ground Effect Kit on it.
Some Peoples Kids....

The ground effects are definitely not part of the Intimidator SS package.

The rest of the car looks pretty legit. Right down to the numbers on the windshield.

The wheels are right.
The tires are right.
The exhaust tips are right.

I don't think the Intimidator got embroidered seats.
The Intimidator guages are blank and silver, unless signed.

If it is a clone someone did a TON of homework.

The gfx ruin it, that is if it is real. I would not buy it with out more proof, I certainly wouldn't pay 55,000 since they ruined the car with those gfx.

Definately the biggest dumbass if ever seen.

If it was the only one not signed and the only won that came with the gfx. it would be worth 55k.

The #'s per Matt:

83 built
33 signed*

*two prototypes(Sr and Jr's)
PR-01 (2000 MY)
PR-02

Signed car breakdown:
#'s 1-28
No # 13 built
#'s 46,50,52 were built for Ca customers who had early deposits-out of sequence due to Ca 422 emissions constraint.
#74 is owned by DEI mgr Steve Crisp, who was in charge of the Intimidator project.Only blue ink signed dash all others black.

The Intimidator color/striping was a direct tribute to the John Moss ZL1,he and Dale were good friends and Dale loved that car.Without question there would have been C5R Intimidators had he not passed.

More specific production info from Matt Murphy

There were 46 Hardtop Cars . . .

There were 5 (6 including the two protoypes) with Traction Control . . .

There were three Phase 2 - 435HP Cars . . . (Car Numbers 50, 51 & 55) . . .

There were two Phase 2X - 475HP Cars . . . (Car Numbers 32 & 47) . . .

From everything you can see it looks legit. It does not show if is has the das plaque or the car cover, shifter, or any close ups of the GMMG exclusive decals. It looks pretty close though. Im still lost as to why someone would put a body kit on that car

I own #50. LateBrakeU2 has his numbers correct. For Earnhardt fans, these cars are the Holy Grail.

I'd love to own one of the signed cars.... I couldn't though. I couldn't resist adding mods (supercharger/turbo) to it which would be punishable by death.

The dealership is about 20 mins from where I live. I only recall seeing one ever and it had black and white checker board leather seats, and something on the head rest.
