You are thinking of Pete Estes' one-of-a-kind '68 Z28 'vert, that was mentioned earlier in this thread. It was the ONLY 1st gen Z28 'vert built, and it had a 302 SBC. Z28s NEVER got a big block, you are thinking about SSs.

I AM TALKING OF PONTIAC ANNIV CARS NOT TRANS AM ANNIV CARS. THE REMARK WAS PONTIACS 75TH AND THEY DID A TRANS AM. THEY DID NOT DO A CAR FOR PONTIACS BIRTHDAY. SHOW ME PICTURES OF WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I GAURANTEE THAT THEY NEVER DID A 75TH ANNIV CAR.

How about a 69 Trans Am convertable. Total of 8 made. No specific engine/tranny/ or whatever combo's included.

I THINK THERE WERE 4 AUTO CARS AND 4 MANUALS. THERE ARE ONLY 7 LEFT. THEY CAN NOT FIND THE EIGHTH CAR.

Well then you just contradicted yourself:

They DID offer a 75th anniversary package on 2001 Firebirds (which you now concede), and I recall seeing on Pontiac's web-site in '01 that it was available on other models (it was just a small exterior badge and maybe a dash plaque). Maybe nobody actually paid for that option and therefore none were built.

I Concede Nothing. They Never Had A Pontiac 75th Anniv Trans Am Or Firebird. The Only Car They Did Have Was That Of A Grand Am And Only Grand Am. Some Dealer Has You Fooled To Thinking That By Putting Some Fake Dealer Installed Crap Will Make It A Anniv Car. I Am Ver Aware Of Trans Am Anniv Cars As I Have 3 Right Now Plus My Ws6 Convertable. I'll Bet That You Can Not Find A Picture Of What You Say Exists. I Should Know As I Work For Pontiac.

Yes they did.
It was just an option package offered on several Pontiacs in 2001, not just the Firebird.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-firebird-1967-2002/492966-firebird-models-list-history.html

"Options added at midyear are 75th Anniversary and NHRA special-edition packages."
http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...c-firebird.htm

My car did not come with the optional badges but I have seen them.

I researched my car before buying it and verified that the package existed. The package was listed on Cars.com at the time. If you still don't beleive it, look at kbb.com (Kelly's Blue Book) and you'll see the package listed.

Here is a screenshot:

Pontiac 75th Anniversary Firebird and Formula (2001) (Pontiac made a special package to commemorate the brand's 75th anniversary. It was designated with RPO code 1SX. Rather than any substantial performance or appearance changes, however, Pontiac opted to bundle the packages with badging and popular options. In fact, the Grand Am GT anniversary model was the only Pontiac to get its badging at the factory. All other '75th' cars received dealer-installed (optional) insignias. The Firebird V6 cars got the badging and the 3800 V6 performance package. The Formula got the badges, and a Hurst shifter in a manual or a 3.23 rear axle in an automatic. The Formula package probably also bundled T-tops, leather steering wheel, leather shift ****, and TA-style chrome 5-star wheels. There was no anniversary package known for the Trans Am, but some dealers may have installed the badges. At least some of them were installed on the B-pillars (behind the side windows). The other Pontiacs offered with '75th Anniversary' packages were the Grand Am GT, Sunfire SE coupe, Bonneville SE, Grand Prix GT/GTP, Montana, and Aztek. When the 2001 Firebird was still listed in the new car section of cars.com, the 75th Anniversary package was listed as one of the options. There wasn't much advertisement for it, but many dealerships were decorated with 75th Anniversary paraphernalia. The promotion ran from March 15, 2001 to April 30, 2001, and included various price discounts.)
OK, so the Grand Am was the only model that had 75th badges installed at the factory, all the rest were dealer installed. And it was essentially a package of options that gave the buyer a discount (no extra cost) .

Sound Like A Way For The Dealer To Rip People Off By Saying It Is A Anniv. Car

Rrrriiiiight. If by your definition giving customers a "discount" is "ripping them off".

But yeah, your point is acknowledged. A "75th Package" on any '01 Pontiac isn't anything "special" or "unique" other than a small badge that was factory installed on Grand Ams and may or may not have been installed by the dealer on other models. The NHRA cars are essentially the same. This is in contrast to the "real Anniversary" cars which had unique paint / stripe &/or content, which was the distinction you were attempting to make. But you should also acknowlege that Pontiac DID offer a "75th Anniversary" incentive package on '01 cars (some of which included badges) and that it was NOT a "rip off" that cost money. Because that is not how your first post came across:

PEACE

i cant beleive no one has mentioned the rarety of the 89 TT/As

1,324 T-Top & Leather Interior
187 T-Top & Cloth Interior
24 Hardtop & Leather Interior
15 Hardtop & Cloth Interior (Base)

4 Test Cars with T-Top & Cloth Interior
1 Test Car with Hardtop & Leather Interior

the rarest of the TT/A's would be the one red one that was pulled off the assembly line (1 of the 5 test cars) which was sold to a private owner.

the hard top cloth cars are also very very rare.
