I believe they made 1 '68 Camaro Z28 convertible. It was for an exec at GM, valued at over a million bucks now.
I think that car sold or was on the block at Auburn last year. If I remember right someone stole the paywork while the car was on display.

Well I thought my other car was rare until I see all these single digit cars. Oh well my GTA is kinda rare its an '88 notchback, 625 made. I got some crappy pics of it on my website if people are unfamiliar.

well in 1987 chevy only made 744 convertibles it was the first year of the convertible since 1969. They are pretty rare. Also an 1992 heritage convertible with the stripe package both are rare cars and in my driveway right now

I think one of the rarest regular GM productions cars was the WS6 Formula.
Not 100% on these numbers:
98 - 226 all colors
99 - 176 all colors (last year in Canada) I know 16 were White
00 - 232 all colors
I'm likely off by one or two as I'm going by memory here.
One day I'll likely regret the mods I've done to mine.

I claim the '97 LT4 Firehawks for the win.... I know a couple are totaled. Who knows how many of the 29 original cars are still around today.

There was only 1 2002 Silver Firehawk Vert Auto ever made. I dont think you can say there is any rarest of them all cause of how many there are that are 1 of 1.
BTW- were the Yenkos considered production cars?

Yes and no on the Yenko: they were COPO cars but all the Yenko added stuff wasn't GM sanctioned as far as I know.
Here are some others to think about:
Any 1LE Firebird - esp. 1LE WS6 Formulas (very cool and very rare)
'98 Firehawk (6 built)

1998 14 built
1999 20 built
Here's my one of one second gen Formula that's second only in rarity to an SD W66-and it's about a 1/4 the price of one of those.

98 camaro 63 light pewter metallic
99 camaro 5 sport gold metallic
00 camaro 13 sunset orange
00 camaro 1 hugger orange convert
And my favorite, 1 2002 Phase 4 ZL1 SR427 built in honor of Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins
Plus any of the other 02 ZL1's, espically the Phase 3's with 600+hp.

I can't believe I didn't think of this car either to name.
