Took me over a month. I was wanting a black on black, auto, decent mileage, 350+ hp SS. I was about to give up. Then I found one on this site. It was located in Texas. I'm glad I didn't give up now.

I had been looking for a T/A while getting ready to pay off/sell my old camaro. I had planned on looking about 2 weeks longer than I did, but mine was the best deal I had seen at the time I drove it home the day after I sold my old car.

i was real lucky. my roommate had the ss in the garage. he put 1800 miles on it 7 months. never took it out. he wanted to sell it to get his vette. i said id buy it, he gave me a great deal. it had a fully rebuilt tranny(didnt need it, only needed new syncros for 1st gear, but redid everything anyway) and a new clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, and master cylinder. its still sits at home and i barely drive it.

Unless you happen to buy one of their frame damaged cars like I did, or my friend did a few months later, or as my friend that worked there said their "108pt inspection" typically consists of looking for blatant body damage and changing the oil if they are feeling like overachievers.

As for the question. I got a bug up my *** one day to find a Formula, NBM, M6, cloth interior, and t-tops, though I would've budged alot on that, it was my perfect car. Looked a few hours, found a NBM WS6, looked into financing. Next day, I found the exact car I wanted....in Seattle, I'm in Indiana. Sent down payment. Flew out 2 weeks later to get the car. It was a 34hr drive back, but completely worth it. To all the people who say a car is "too far" you apparently don't want it enough. To get EXACTLY what you want for the price you want, you have to be willing to travel or wait years. I waited two weeks and was miserable.

yes, I have come to find out recently (I think I was waiting on the carfax while this thread first came up) that my car really was in a collision and that explains why my paint doesnt match on my driver side Im so pissed off. I want to find out if I have any legal action that I can take against them for not telling me the car was in an accident before I bought it. Whoever repainted it had NO clue what they were doing. Too much is wrong to even say on here.

I had really wanted a WS6 and I found a brand new one on the dealers lot. Its was an 01. THe dealer said that he would not come off the price AT ALL. It was stickered at 35 and some change. I was NOT going to pay that much. As bad as I wanted it. He was CRAZY. Anyway, walked out and never looked back. Ok, fastforward 3 years, I was stationed in Korea and was home on midtour. I had a vehicle search flagged on Carmax. When I got home to DC, I was wanting to look up a buddy of mine, so I got on my email and there was a note from carmax. Holy Crap, a 2001 SS, had 7k on it. I **** you not there was little knobies on the tires, the plastic was still on the drivers/passenger floor board and the radio still had the plastic on it. The skip shifter was still operational. They let it go for 17,995. Carfaxed clean, no dings, dents or scratches. I couldnt pass it up. NO WAY. I about crapped myself.

I found the car I was looking for in a week after deciding to get an LS1 Camaro SS. It had everything I wanted: 6speed, black on black, 11,000 miles.

I looked for a 2002 Firehawk for a long number of years ,I was just really picky(Had to this and that option and or that color) in what I wanted and what I was going to pay.I was lookin in the papers, magazines, and on the web daily. It used to drive the GF crazy, she just couldn't understand. Then one night after I got off late from work,I was so tired but I got online anyway,I found my car.It was in Indiana and I live in Georgia, but it wasn't a Firehawk but a WS6 with everything I wanted and 3000 miles on it at the right price!I told my GF that I was going to buy it and she was a little upset cause she thought I was rushing into something, but I told her I had already checked the VIN with 2 sources and come morning if it was still there I was getting it!So I bought it without ever seeing it(salesman was definitely A++ and car was perfect! )and had it shipped to me 2 weeks later. And we lived happily ever after!Sorry so long.
THE END

I wanted one back in 99 but was unable to get one. So I bagan looking into getting an SS back in 03. I found one on auto trader's site. It had taken me 6 months to find the right one. I waited for the owner to lower the price and I was able to get it from him. It is an 02 SS that had 3,000 miles on it. I have had it for 3 years and it now has 11,000 miles on it.

This might upset some people but here we go.

It took me 2 minutes! lol,..

My daily driver (Chevy Malibu) got totaled after some girl in a Taho wasn't pay'n attention on the freeway. Long story,.not gonna tell it so don't worry.

But now I needed a new car right away and wasn't gonna deal with a rent a car for a few weeks only to hear what I knew already,.."YOUR CAR IS TOTALLED, SO BUY A NEW ONE!" That and my 68 Firebird(469ci) was anything but a daily driver so I figured,..what the hell. Got online and did a search for a Blk-in,Blk-out,A4 00WS.6 T/A and I found it in Hollywood.

So the next day I went down there to take a look at it and took it for a test drive. It was perfect. But while I was in the office tell'n them that I just wanted to take a look at some other cars first,..they got a phone call about it from some kid say'n that he was looking forever for that car and that he'd be down there in half an hour to take a look at it. So I left,...got about two blocks before I turned back and told them that I wanted it. Paid that sucker in full for 22K out the door! That was about a year ago too.
