Default 01 Firehawk options

Hi, I am new to the site. I have found a 2001 Firehawk I am looking to buy. I have seen a lot of info on 2002 Firehawks, but I was just wondering if all the options and standard features are the same for the 2001 and if someone could list them for me.

Basically the same options. Go to firehawk.org. they have plenty of info. I think the Blackwing lid was available all of 2002 and only on late 2001 models. So the 02 Hawks had I think a 5-10 hp rate increase over the 01s. The only real performance options for hawks are suspension and the differential. Everything else is just for appearance. (ie. chrome wheels, floor mats, car covers, rear spoilers, etc.) I've enjoyed mine, but it I've been piling on the miles and I'm thinking I might want to trade it on an SUV. I've been driving trans ams since I was 17 (I'm 35 now) so I'm thinking it might be time for a change. Plus I'm in the beginnings of a divorce, so I'll need something a little more practical for the kids. (I don't know why I just told you all that crap????since it has nothing to do with your original question?????)

^^ Good luck bro...

On the '01 the IROC spoiler is only on the 10th ann cars and Blackwing lid isn't an option yet. Everything else is the same as '02.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Blackwing was not really an “option”. If your Hawk was built after a certain date, it got it. If it was built earlier, it did not.

The SLP "blackwing" airlid was only avaible on 2002 Firehawks(standard) & an option for Camaro SS with a SLP alteration/build date after October 2001.

Not so, the 2001's with the portfolio option have the information card specific to that vehicle for Firehawks & Camaro SS.

No problem, you helped me with complete information on a post before. I just figured to do the same, since some people need information.

2001 had more different versions of Firehawk than any other year. The 10th ann. cars were numbered separately as well as being numbered with the rest of the Hawks. So any given tenth could be Firehawk number 215 and 10th number 27, for example. The 10ths also had their own wheels, exhaust tips,decals/stripes, floormats, dash plates, key fobs, and birth certificates. The IROC spoiler was only available on 10ths in 2001. There was no optional spoiler for non-10th Firehawks this year.
