I was watching a show on TV where they showed the SLP plant converting the camaro SS's and adding the "SS" to the grilles. But i have a front license plate holder on the grille. So i have "SS" symbols under my license plate holder? Cause if i do that things gonna "fall off in the carwash" and hangout in my backseat!

 

If you current grill is a "flat" black plastic it's just the regular Camaro Grill. The SS grill was an option and it's gloss black.

 

Mines flat black.

 

If it has three slots on each side, it says CAMARO. Leave the plate on. I took the holder off and put the plate right on the grill and it looks alot cleaner.

I helped a friend of mine put on the SLP SS gloss black grill. It makes the car look 10 times better. I highly suggest having a friend help you with the install. The entire front clip/bumper/fascia has to come off. Good thing it's a total of about 15-20 bolts.

 

I put mine on without taking the fascia off. Only took about an hour and looks perfect!

Yea I put mine on in about an hour without taken the bumper cover off as well. Buy it from speed inc they sell them cheaper than slp don't really know how that works, lol

 

Mine came on my SS as a SLP installed option. My previous 99 Z28 I put it on with 2 sided tape and i just ripped the plastic flat black off.

I live in NJ and i refuse to use a front license plate for my TA or SS. It just ruins the front end of the car. I'll take the ticket

 

You definitely need an SS grille! There is no reason all the SS's shouldn't have come with it.

 

ya i vote for no plate ill deff take the ticket it makes the car look so much better without the front plate!!

 

Iv'e had four tickets now and refuse to put a plate on! It looks so much better without!
