I've spent nearly an hour going through this entire thread and am more confused than I was when I started.
Is there still a way to find out the ASC build number for WS6's I have a '00 WS6 Convertible built 5/00.
So apparently my car doesn't exist. Actually per my conversation with Marcus there is no ASC paperwork on my car. Based on everything I sent him he believes the car is a legit WS6 convertible but he has nothing to show on it. Lucky me I have one of the 2000 model year cars that is missing its documentation.

I believe ASC had a fire that destroyed numerous build records for some of the '99 and '00 MY WS6s. Too bad they weren't scanning them and keeping an off-site softcopy.

Thanks for that. So at least there is a legit reason for it other than ASC didn't like 2000's! Nobody thinks about predicting a disaster and when done it was by the model year years later never on the spot. It's a little messed up reading every one else reeling off their numbers but none for me. Especially since Marcus is convinced that my car is genuine. Instead of a board with my ASC number next to the car at shows I can post up Marcus' email instead. Not exactly the same thing.

I just picked up a 2002 WS6 yesterday with 8k miles from the original owner, he didn't have the ASC paperwork. How can I get my ASC number?

No problem. My records indicates your '98 Silver WS6 'vert is ASC# 2128 and was converted on 6/3/98.

It has an automatic transmission, also the traction control fun switch! Cd player, ac, charcoal interior, black top and pop up headlights that still work! Besides a few bolt on parts, catback, suspension, brakes, wheels, egr delete, air box and tune the car is original. Gets to rock classic plates now too.
I know from looking thru the forums there are not many 98 silver drop top ws6 models. (37?) Curious how many automatics (26?) Had the traction control switch aka fun switch!?

The best my breakdown can provide is that there were a total of 26 Silver WS6 'verts w/ A4 trans built in '98. Once you include interior color, top color and other options, the breakdown is not to that level of detail, but it would certainly be less than 26.
