Angry are all WS6's FAT(and i don't mean PHAT!)

not sure why i never noticed this until the other day but this baby weighs over 4300 frickin pounds i'm quite sure none of my Z28's were that heavy, especially not the 02, it was a hard top stripper only option was a hurst shifter. i am thinking that i may change my approach and just do appearance type mods to her and pick up a cheap Z to put my money into go-fast parts. ok my mini rant is over so are all WS6's in that weight range or was mine matched to driver (i weigh 300 ) ha ha

Is that what you had it weighed at? or what you found it listed at? I did a quick search and found two websites that listed the '02 Camaro SS & '02 Pontiac Firebird curb weights at 3500 lbs.

They don't weigh anywhere near 4300 lbs, more like 3500 lbs.

some WS6 trans ams were fitted with a certain "special" spoiler to add traction by placing more weight over the rear tires. it weighed about 800 pounds. that is why some weigh 3500, and some weigh 4300 = its whether or not they have the 800lb spoiler.

Yeah, if you pissed off your boss @ the plant he'd make you install the "special" 800 lb. spoiler manually.

while all WS6s are heavy, they arnt THAT heavy.

they will generally be the heaviest of all fbodies... they have all of the heavy options (power seats, leather, etc).. plus they're in the TA body (slightly heavier popup headlights, heavier swaybars.. etc...)

the heaviest fbody you could buy was a 02 WS6 convertible.. they were HEAVY... but not that heavy. lol

ok i get it

like i said, i am new to TA's after owning 3 Z28's i just noticed the sticker on the door when i was washing her and saw those numbers and was surprised.

i have raised the hatch a time or two so i'm quite sure i don't have the special 800lb spoiler just the aftermarket 300lb driver

although i am seriously considering a ls1 Z for a daily driver when she is paid for

800lb spoiler? Are you on crack? I wonder if they do breast implants...now that would be ok.
