Standard GMMG practice was to paint the roof hoop body color, so that is covered.
The "extra" would be to paint the doors, door jambs and other misc areas that would not need to be painted if the car was kept it's original color.
Thus why it seems so "reasonable" . . .

OK, that makes sense
I didn't realize that, but now I'm glad I know. It threw me off because on our window sticker, (the Berger one not the GMMG one), the re-paint was close to $10k. However, now I see why. Thanks!

Hey guys,
So I went to dickharrell.com and was reading up on the guy just to learn some history. When you click "2002 Camaro" up at the top of the page, it brings you to a page that details the special edition Camaros that they produced in 2002, and it mentions that they produced 30 of 'em. I guess my point of discussion is:
Where the hell are they? Anybody ever seen one? I betcha they're all garage and trailer queens..![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)

These cars are a "Dick Harrell edition Camaro". They are not a ZL1. You are confusing two different cars that GMMG, Inc. built. I'm sorry if you think that I am nit-picking but since I own a ZL1 and think that it is a very special car (at least it is to me), I don't want the two different cars to be confused. The Dick Harrell Camaros are really cool and if I had the $$$$, would I own one? You bet I would ! ! ! ! Then I would have the best of both worlds.................a Dick Harrell edition Camaro and a ZL1. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

i would like to buy these extra wide body panels and put them on my '01 SS. apparently these cannot be obtained through GM. does anybody know who makes them and where i can buy them? i would assume that there has to be replacements available for these Dick Harrell cars because if you own one of these cars and you get in a wreck and have to replace one where are you gonna get one?

I am sure Matt has some replacements (limited) or has access to making them but they are NOT available to the general public. The only way to get your hands on a set is if you own a DH car and if had been damaged once the car has been put back together in some way I am sure the car would have to be sent back to GMMG to get the replacement parts put on I would not think that Matt would just drop ship replacements to a bodyshop.
The only other option is to get your hands on a DH car for a few hours and have a very good shop mold the front and rear q's.
