Default Cragar wheels on Hot Rod

Does anyone know where you can get the wheels that came on the Hot Rod Camaro's. The love the way they look. I know they are 17x9.5 chrome Cragar's, but I do not know the model number. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

J.D., aren't the Cragar's 18" wheels? Did the Hot Rod cars have 17" and the ZL1's have 18" or are they the same wheel? Just curious.

You are correct Jordan..................the Hot Rod Magazine Camaro's (like my friend Charlie's Phase IIX Sebring Silver Camaro pictured below) came with 17" Cragar S/S wheels and the ZL1 Supercar's (like my Onyx Black one pictured below) came with 18" Cragar S/S wheels.

Nice Pics JD! Those are both beautiful cars!

I’m not trying to steal this thread, but I do have another question about wheels (particularly the ZL1 cars). What wheels came on the base ZL1? I’ve seen pics of the ZL1 with the Cragers, Fiskes, and the Z06 wheels. Could you get any wheel you wanted? Or are some upgraded? I’m just curious, and am always trying to learn more about the GMMG cars. Thanks in advance. Jason

Good question Jason. The wheel that would have been "considered" original equipment on the 2002 ZL1 base package was the cast Z06 wheel. We had the option of going with three other different wheels. The chrome Z06 wheels, the Cragar S/S and the Fiske.

I choose the Cragar S/S because the basic idea behind the ZL1 was old school. The original ZL1 Camaros were produced in the 1969 model year. The Cragar S/S wheel was a popular wheel back then and that was behind my decision to go with that particular wheel on my 2002 ZL1 Supercar in some kind of attempt to tie my car back to the period of time when the first ZL1 Camaros were produced even though the original ZL1 Camaros came out with just a plain steel wheels with a dog dish hubcap from Chevrolet back then.

Fikse . . . . . . sounds like Fix See

But J.D. is correct the "base" ZL1 wheel was a Z06 style 18" x 9.5" wheel on all four corners.

I ended up ordering some Cragar wheels from Matt Murphy. J.D., I appreciate your help. When I put them on I will post some pictures. Hopefully the car will look good. I have not seen a Navy Blue Berger with Camaro with Cragars.

Congrats! Cragers look good on everything So I'm sure it will look awesome.

Also, thanks for catching that error… I can't believe I misspelled Fikse. I should have noticed that since the ’02 Berger.

And while we're on the subject of spelling , CRAGAR IS SPELLED WITH AN "A" BEFORE THE "R", NOT AN "E"

WOW. That’s terrible. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, or my spelling. I guess I must be distracted by those pictures posted above. Those are two awesome cars… and both have CRAGARS!!
