Just received my new fronts on Saturday. I had already ordered c5 fronts and ls1 rears but decided to just keep it stock. They look great. I'll have to wait to install them when I get my Hawk pads.

Hey Jim, I just wanted to say, great customer service. It's just that it threw me off that they boxed it up, rear rotors-front pads and vice-versa. Great product also.

I just ordered some slotted with ceramic pads from Pete. Hope to have them on next week so I can compare them to Hawk HPS on stock rotors!

Good news! I got my rotors/pads yesterday, which is pretty fast shipping! Unfortunately, the RR rotor isn't fully machined on the hat. I tried calling, but got an answering machine, so I'll try again later.

thats how both of mine came, the set of solid/non slotted powerstop rotors i just got in this sale were the same way and for reference the set of old burned up slotted rotors i had on here previously and was replacing were the same way. the rear pads are small and dont come close to that area, you'll be ok.

Sometimes we get two different batchs that get machined all at once and the result is a rough and a smooth. Like yenko said, the issue is purely asthetic and has no tangible affect on performance.

Hey, I'm not very familiar with brakes and such, but last time I let my dad take care of getting me new stuff and it hasn't stopped screeching yet. That was probably about 3 or 4 months ago.
So I'm looking for something that will eliminate that, as well as be a better quality product. Will new pads and rotors solve the screeching problem, or is it something else?

Just to followup, I called them around 2:05, and Adam recognized me as the person who posted this before I told him my problem, and explained it was the result of batches being mixed up, and that there was no structural difference between the two.
I knew it shouldn't cause any structural impact, but it does seem the zinc coating may not be as protective on the rough hat as on the smooth, and Adam asked if I would be alright with him checking the warehouse to see if he had any smooth. He called me back about an hour later and told me he did have one, and it is now on it's way with a prepaid shipping label to send back the old one.
I'm giving them a for their great customer service!
