You deffinatly could benifit from them. I would go to a 1.8 ratio rocker and it will act like a slightly larger cam without having to replace the cam. I have seen very good gains just doing the 1.8 ratio rockers.

The retail is now $349.99 I am selling them at $320.00. I am trying to get some dynos of these but they are pretty new noone has dynoed yet. The one that gained none also stated he did not dyno back to back and he stayed with the same ratio.

Got a swap done on the dyno by a customer. 3 runs picked up 8-10rwhp on all the runs. This is from a stock ratio 1.7 set. You could expect 15-20 on a set of 1.8 ratio rockers.
Thanks Nate

Why would anyone want to buy valve covers for that price when spacers are ~$240? To me, you would have to match or beat the price of the spacers to sell them?

The rockers look nice!

The Harland Sharp roller rockers will fit under your valve covers. Or are you asking about the adjustable ones? They will not they will need different covers.

Nate-
I respect the Harland Sharp name, and the price is great, but I have some questions:
Has there been any extensive proven running time with these rockers? Or running time on high HP engines? The connecting shaft between the rockers looks mighty small to me at .250 dia. The Yella Terra Rockers use a shaft that is the same larger dia. all the way across from trunion to trunion and I've seen instances where this larger size shaft has broken!
Also, it's hard to tell, but do these rockers have an oil passageway that will direct pressurized oil at the roller tip/valve spring?
How are the roller tips secured? is it just a pin that is peened over at each end?
I'd really like to pick up a set of these but now that I also have a 68 vette to work on - I'm no longer willing to be a guinea pig for new performance parts
I know - soooooooo many questions - but they really need to add a more detailed description to this product.
TIA,
-Jay-

As far as running time the same bodies and parts of these rockers have been used in thousands of race motors for many many years. They use the same parts in most of there roller rockers just machined a little different. The connecting shaft has no stress what so ever the main reason for it is to keep the rockers aligned with the valve same thing a guild plate serves. Those are just a small chunk of stamped steel. Of course it has an oil passage to the tip they need to to work and keep it lubricated. The tip is bolted on. These are extremely good quality rockers you are by far a "guinea pig" and would be happy with the product.

I have had mine on the car for about 2 weeks now. Dont know if any of you guys saw the post I made in the internal section about them. Here is what came out of the install for me.
FITMENT:
-these will fit under your stock valve covers. My car is a 99 and I had no problems with that.
-HS does say that these are a direct replacement to stock and IMHO, they are a bolt in. BUT if you read the small print on the HS website it says "due to minor variations in head castings, some modification may be required". I did have to shave outside corner of the 4 most outer rocker arms to give them a hair more room. You could see on my heads that the corners had a bit more material that the rest of the lip of the head.
-If your heads are stock the will bolt right in (barring you dont have the problem I do with the extra head material). My heads are milled .030 and I did have to shim the pedestals up to getthe proper preload.
-I am using Comp R lifters.
QUALITY:
-I have never seen HS put out garbage. I have used thier products a number of times in the past on motors ranging from 396 dual quad tunnel ram motors to 8000 rpm spinning small blocks and never once had an issue with one breaking.
GAINS:
-If you are doing a STOCK RATIO REPLACEMENT your gains will more than likely be NEGLIGABLE if any other than the roller fulcrom and roller tip freeing up some friction. the only way you will see any gains is going to a larger ratio (1.7 to a 1.8 or 1.85). And this is because you are in essence just increasing the lift on the cam by the added ratio of the arm.
-The biggest gain you will be getting from the stock ratio HS rocker is PEACE OF MIND that it will not puke its needle bearings down through your motor, much like the stockers like to do after they have some milage on them.
I will be running these rocker arms through the ABSOLUTE RINGER in June at the Pony express 130. My motor will be seeing an RPM AVERAGE of 4100 for slightly over an hour. It will see extended peak RPMs of a bit over 4700 rpm. If the rockers will survive that then they will darn near be golden in my book.
Sorry if I was out of line Nate. Just thought i would try and answer some of the questions for you.

We weighed one today. The stock rocker is 140.9 grams and the Harland Sharp rocker is 130.5 grams. 10.4 grams lighter than stock. Sorry it took so long.
