If the next vehicle is my choice, it will either be a large SUV (new Durango, Pathfinder Armada, possibly a Suburban) or a diesel 4WD crew cab (most likely a Chevy HD). If GM would just offer a 3/4 ton 4WD Sub with the Duramax, the decision would be clear cut. If it is up to mom, it will most likely be a minivan (Toyota Sienna) or a larger midsize sedan (Altima, 300M etc).

My next vehicle will be a Corvette Z06 without a doubt, I just absolutely love those cars, not a thing wrong with it
I figure to make my purchase around 2008 or 2009, I should graduate college in 2006-2007, work my rear off, get married and buy myself a vette as our 1st car, and i'll give save that vette and give it to my 2nd son and give my TA to my 1st son
Wow I just planned my life out

Actually I just bought a used vehicle a couple days ago so I won't be purchasing one in the very new future, but I'll tell you why I bought what I did. It's a 2001 VW Golf with the 1.8 turbo. I was looking around at an indoor showroom with executive owned cars with low mileage and i drove a 2001 Grand Prix GTP first. The car only had 16K miles, but had squeaks and rattles and just didn't feel like it was a very high quality vehicle. The leather was already looking somewhat worn as well which is ridiculous for a low mileage car. That one was out. Then I drove a 2002 Alero 2-door with 100 miles (it was never titled). It felt okay but the seats were uncomfortable and the interior pieces were really cheesy and platicky...I hate that about GM interiors. Plus the 3.4 V6 just didn't feel very refined or peppy. I drove the Golf last. The fit and finish on the car was perfect and the interior was excellent. Great ergonomics and the pieces didn't look cheap. And for a "drive to work car" the 1.8 turbo has plenty of power to keep me satisfied while the Trans Am is in storage. The other thing I liked about the VW was the 12 year corrosion warranty (for all body panels) and the fact that it won't depreciate as much as the other cars I was looking at. Hope GM is paying attention.
