When I was at MTI on Wednesday, I heard Wayne tell someone that he was on the phone with that the Atr Lid price was good through the month of March.

According to MTI..
This GP will run for the next two weeks (until March 15th, 2004).
Maybe they changed it. The above quote was from "poolfanatic".

Does anyone know if the Stealthpowersports Oversized lid was tested?

Honestly, I haven't seen another LS1 with this lid except mine! It uses the C4 Corvette K&N filter. The whole thing is about 25% to 30% larger then the stock lids.

Think there would be a problem if I just stopped in to get a Lid? Or do i need to call ahead of time?

You could call, it wouldn't hurt. When I called on Monday he told me they had 50 clear lids. They are doing some work on my car the 13th, but paranoia set in and I went and got mine on Wednesday. Now I think about it, the GP does end on the 15th. I might have heard Wayne wrong, but I thought he said the end of the month to that other person on the phone. My bad! Sorry.

No need to call, just stop by anytime. MTI has plenty of the clear/carbon fiber lids in stock.

The shop is open from 9-6 Mon-Fri and 10-4 on Saturdays.

Quick TTT ....

Thanks to everyone for the great response on this GP! We've had a great deal of interest on an excellent product.

The $99 price is good through next Monday (3/15) so if you haven't ordered your's don't delay! Lids are in stock and ready to ship or pick up.

Default How well do you know the folks who make the carbon fiber lids?

Do you know the company that makes this lid, in carbon fiber? What about, if they would be willing, or could, make another lid, (or should I say, the mold), from an existing lid (with a minor modification in the angle of the connector)?

If, not, OK.

I am trying to find someone to take the oversized lid I bought for my fbody, (it uses a C4 Corvette K&N filter) that is about 150% of the size of aftermarket lids on the market now. It seems the company that made mine was underfunded, or could not recoupe from the poor design of the improper angle of the intake connector. It was a great idea. I want to offer it in two choices, 1) stock for replacement of all those "just the same size lids" on the market, and 2) with an oval connector for TPIS new TB and intake they make. Frankly, I have not seen one, but I would think it could be even larger if the filter (or air in) side of the TB was oval like the other side that connects to the filter side (or air out).

IF, I am going to seek someone to do this, I am going to offer only carbon fiber. In my opinion, it's the only way to go.

I fogot, I want to buy one of these too, to examnine the quality, and put it on my other Firebird Formula. Do we order them on line, or do you call us, or is there something we need to reference when we call you?

$99.00 + 8.25% tax = $107.17
$116.00 - $107.17= $8.83 in profit.
Seriously, if I knew you, I'd spot you and not charge you. Hopefully somebody will help you. Good luck.
