I am beginning to feel like a broken record......... I still have app 11 systems sitting downstairs. I have boxed EVERYONE OF THEM up and prepared them to ship. UPS will take 5 to 8 per day as I have said several times now. I began shipping these the day the GP was a go. It was said in the beginning NO orders would ship until the 25 minimum had been met. If you sent in money the day the GP began you have been waiting a while. I thank all of you who did their part in this GP, but give it a rest on the shipping. NOBODY has been waiting months, GMMG isnt ignoring anyone, I havent forgotten anyone. I have said it before, I work FULLTIME at GMMG, this GP was done by ME as a favor to the LS1Tech community. I had to get this approved by my boss and organize the entire deal on top of doing my job daily. Its Sunday night and Im answering over 30 emails re this GP and making this post. I dont need any cheese with my whine either

To answer a couple of questions...

As far as the single cat guys...(LT1)... we do not provide an adapter kit for your setup. You must cut a portion of your existing setup and it will work fine. I will post specifics tomorrow once I speak to Mike, as he has installed a couple of these systems on single cat LT1s. Stand by for info.... I know its a simple deal and I will have an answer tomorrow.

TO the guys with the personal checks.. As said earlier personal checks take 7 to 14 days to clear YOUR BANK not ours. It will clear ours due to our available balance immediately. It then takes a week or two to clear YOUR bank before we ship the exhaust. I am aware the date your check was received and I will follow up tomorrow with the office manager to get your exhaust out if it hasnt already gone out.

This GP has been a go since JULY 2nd. Thats 9 days!!!!!!!!!!! I dont see the need for anyone to be upset at this point..... except me. This is the last GP I will put together for a LONG TIME. I hope everyone enjoys their new exhaust. If you have not received it, it will be there ASAP..

Regards

Ron @ GMMG

Ron, I am THIS close to sending my money. Does it have to be postmarked by the 15th or to you by the 15th? I am just not a big spender so I am still deciding. I have to go to college in a month and I am kinda worried. Thanks for answering my question!

Did you have the car on a lift to drop the rear axle or could you use jack stands or ramps? Thanks.

I installed mine this weekend and it is by far the best fitting system I have installed on any car. I could not believe how easy it went together. I'm so used to having to cut, bend, pull to get parts on these cars to work and the GMMG went on without a hitch. I have the CME so I still need to go to a exhaust shop and have the CME tips installed. Running with $10 Autozone turndowns. Looks horrible, but sounds amazing. Thanks GMMG!

Sent the money out today, should be there by thursday/friday w/o a problem I think.

I didn't know 7-11 can only make $500 MOs, so I had to get a $500 and a $100, ah well, all the same I guess

Update on the LT1 single cat guys..... Talked with our "LT1 tech" as far as install goes. Best thing to do is install our catback on the car mark your current I pipe about 2"s past the stopping point on our I pipe and then slide the two together. Otherwise you will need to hit your local muffler shop and fab an "S" pipe to make the system fit correctly.

Goodluck guys and thanx again!!!!

Curious about the install of this system. I have a 01 Z28. Is this a bolt on from the cat back, or do you cut midway through the i-pipe? I currently have stock exhaust, would I have to drop the rear end to get this installed, or is it an easy bolt up? Can anyone provide some install pics?

Thanks for the info, and for your work on this GP.

I was planning on trying to get the stock exhaust off in 1 piece, just in case I ever needed it again for some reason. Now I'm wondering if cutting it is the way to go, or maybe get an adapter, such as SLP part #30045, which looks like it MIGHT do the trick. More $$$ to use the adapter, but I would have the stock system in 1 piece.

If I do cut the stock i-pipe, can it be welded back together should the need arise?

It's amusing how some of you guys are getting so worried about installing a catback!

I understand the lack of experience, but it's truely nothing to worry about. If you need to cut it, it's not a big deal at all. You can always weld it back together. I always cut it after it goes over the axle before it goes into the muffler. That seems to be the best place to weld it back together while still being able to remove it easily.

When I had my 2001 Z28, it took me less than an hour to get my stock catback and ypipe off and throw on a slp ypipe and loudmouth. Just get two jackstands and a buddy.

How many cuts did you make to your old catback to get it out and if it was just one cut, where did you cut and how high did the car have to be to get the system out?
