Going to the bank and then the post office at lunch and then sending it overnight!! After a month of pondering, I'm going to get the GMMG before headers!

I was lucky enough to do mine on a lift. It took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. I cut my stock exhaust off right after the bend before it goes into the muffler. I then dropped the muffler, and removed the three bolts that holds that thing above the panhard rod to the frame. I removed to of the little screws that holds the heat sheild below the tank. I then moved the bar out of the way, and with a little twisting, I got the pipe to drop.

The part that took the longest was getting the tips to line up lol

This is going to be my first mod too, and prolly my only mod. I don't want to get too carried away with that stuff. I am one of those that likes to see others do that but keep mine mostly stock. The only other thing I would do with my car is decals.

Hey Guys,
For those of you with a tracking number that haven't received your exhaust, do you still have the UPS status as:

Status: Billing Information Received ????

My tracking number states that it was billed on July 6, 2004. It's been 8 working days and still hasn't shipped. According to the post, they ship 8 units a day. By that math 64 units should have gone out. I'm not sure that we've had that many requests. At any rate, I understand that they have customers other then our GP to deliever their products too, so I'm sure there's a certain % of the 8 that don't come to our GP. I'm just curious if any you still waiting for your shipping status to change have heard of any hold ups?

LittleBef,

I don't plan on to many mods either. At first I wanted no mods at all, but a coupld engine safe ones I am okay with. I feel Chevy makes these cars pretty fast from the factory!

Mine shipped out earlier this week and should be here Friday. Be patient! I thought mine wouldn't ever ship out, but it did.

Ron-
Do you have an update on the Tracking #'s for those of us that came in after 7/9? My check was delivered 7/12 - I know, probably too soon yet - I'm just anxious to get to the next step!

I believe mine is waiting for me at home. One more hour and I will go retrieve it. I plan to put it on tonight. It did take a while to ship...but I am sure it will be worth it. I will report the results tomorrow.

Got my exhaust today and it sounds AMAZING!!! I love it...money well spent!!! It took about an hour from start to finish to get my stock exhaust off and the new on. I used a recip saw to cut in between the muffler and the panhard bar. The muffler assy came down with out any fighting at all. The I-pipe was the same...slipped right out w/o fighting. The tips don't line up too well, the left one is aimed towards the license plate a little bit, and hangs down a bit, so I need to faneggle with that a little to make it perfect.

Thanks Ron for the awesome GP and this awesome price!!

Anyone else have the pleasure of there exhaust not being shipping in a box but just zip tied together with some saran wrap across the middle to hold the tips box onto it???? Nothing better then a UPS driver handing you over some clamps in one hand and a scraped exhaust with bent tips!!!!!!

That sucks. UPS is known for doing crap like this. Maybe you should send your stuff back and GMMG will replace it for you. I hope they insured it though... You may have to bitch to UPS about it and have them pay you for the damages...

Got it on last night, and all I can say is WOW! It is fairly loud and sounds damn good, but it is definitely not obnoxiously loud. I actually didn't hear it at all cruising on the highway with the tops off. Took about 2-3 hours on jack stands. Snapped the sway bar link bolt, but got another one easily enough. I agree with the guy above about the drivers side tip. It is about 1/4" to 1/2" closer to the center than the other side tip, but I can work with that. All in all, it is awesome! Very good craftsmanship too. Thanks Ron and everyone else for the GP.
