Default Texas Speed & Performance - Our newest Sponsor!

You probably know the two guys starting up this biz in Lubbock, TX. Jason M. and Trevor D. have both been LS1 internet personalities since day one. I think between these two guys, nobody has had more LS1 setups besides myself LOL!

Welcome to the site sponsorship side guys, and best of luck with the new establishment.

Texas Speed & Performance is also the proud sponsor of the Top Gun Showdown class at our Spring Break Shootout in March.

Thanks Tony! We're happy to finally be aboard the sponsor side of LS1Tech.com. I know this is shocking, but this is the first board for us to be a sponsor of.

Our shop is going to be setup to cater to all LS1 and LT1 vehicles, but we are not going to limit ourselves. We are in the process of building a new facility in Lubbock, Texas. It will be a 5,000 sq. ft. building with lots of store front, a chassis dyno with a wideband O2 sensor, and multiple engine bays and lifts. We will offer everything from simple bolt-ons to all-out stroker engines. We're getting ready to assemble a 408 cid LS1 iron-block for a board member, Chad00WS6. We will also offer custom dyno tuning via LS1 Edit. Let's not forget about the LS1-based Chevy and GMC trucks! We will have a full line of aftermarket products available for all of you truck guys, and complete engines will be available as well. I'm sure all of the truck guys are familiar with Jason's '00 Silverado 1500 with the 6.0L. His newest project is a '02 Chevy Avalanche, and it will likely get a 6.0L transplant as well.

LS1Tech.com member Joseph Potak (posts as -Joseph-) will be our lead mechanic. He has been a mechanic at Scoggin Dickey Chevrolet in Lubbock for a few years now, and he has been the LS1 guru from the start. He built the 6.0L that is currently in Jason's Silverado, and he also built the forged-piston 346 cid LS1 in Jason's '99 Corvette that has currently run a best of 10.50 @ 137.5 MPH with a lazy 1.6 60'! It has one of our heads/cam setups and a TNT 150 shot. Quicker timeslips are to come shortly. He has already done quite a few heads & cam swaps locally, and he's also built a few engines locally, such as a 383 cid LT1 and a 408 cid LS1. Needless to say, he stays busy! We're lucky to have him as part of the business!

We are in the process of designing the web page, so please be patient with us. Once it is finished, it will feature the vast majority of our parts available. It will have online ordering for all of you guys that want to "click it" and be done. In the mean time, we have the link from our banner directed to my current e-mail account. So, if you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me!

Jason and I both have been the "guinea pigs" for quite a few setups (cam-only, heads/cam, 422 cid, 382 cid, A4's and M6's), so we have a lot of insight as to what works and what doesn't. Both of us like change when it comes to our cars, especially if it means more power! A few 10-second timeslips will come shortly from the SS once we swap a set of heads on it. We've tried just as many parts that work well as ones that don't work so well, and we look to pass that on to other LS1 owners! We want people to choose the right parts the first time; this speed "addiction" isn't cheap! Whether you're looking for a stealthy setup to pass emissions or an all-out 1/4-mile setup we'll be able to help out.

Trevor

Guys I can't stress enough how nice of people they are to deal with. I have personally talked Trevor's ear off on the phone for the last month or longer fiquring out details on this motor. I'm sure we will see great things from them in the future. Again Congrats guys.

Thanks for all of the kind words guys! To say that we're excited and anxious is an understatement. This is something that we have talked about for quite a while, and it is nice to see all of it start to solidify now.
