Angie...great idea on the military discount! I don't know if I'd tell folks to fax or email an image of their military ID though. Not a good security practice for folks, not to mention the possibility of identity theft if someone should intercept the image.
Just a security tip from a 20-year Air Force guy <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Maybe I will order something <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

We were in a dilemma on how to handle this discount in order to verify that non-military personnel don't try to use it, so I certainly welcome any ideas you have. It's pretty easy to verify that a person who has their parts shipped to an APO/FPO or base is military. I wasn't sure how to handle the other people. I know that a long time ago when I worked at a pager company, we did make copies of military id's to keep in their files. No one ever mentioned a problem with this, so I thought it could be our extra verification on the people without APO's, etc. If you have any ideas on how we can better handle this, please let me know...I am certainly open to all suggestions. Of course, once the ID copy is received and the info is in our computer, we were planning to put them in the shredder. (All we really need is the name, the social sec number can be blacked out.)
Thanks,
Angie

Re: April Specials & New Everyday lower prices @ Thunder Racing!
Thats true. If they have email you could do it that way. Not many people could fake an address like xxxx.xxxxx@littlerock.af.mil and actually be able to return the message to you...

Re: April Specials & New Everyday lower prices @ Thunder Racing!
Good point guys. Have them shoot you an email from their personal military email address.
Otherwise, blacking out the SSN and shreddign is probably the best practice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Thank you for your sensitivity Angie!

So far, almost all of the military discount orders have been shipped to APO/FPO's so it hasn't been too much of an issue. I will add your suggestion to our info page.
Thanks!
