no matter how you wanna look at it $160 for a damn simple catch can is rediculous. You wanna waste your money go ahead. I would rather pay $80 & put the other $80 toward something that actually makes power. Guess im just a true car guy, not a flashy show off that blows money on bullshit.

Best quote of this whole post! Haven't seen Charles in here lately. What is AMW saying about all this negative feedback?

They are a nice piece but obviosly AMW are greedy, selfish people who dont care about the LS1 community. You would think that the higher volumes should reduce manufacturing costs... I think everyone should boycott this dispicable behaviour and when AMW realises how many people they have pi**** off, they will drop their prices.

Wow, this thread has gone way off

It isn't a can. Soda comes in a can Its machined billet aluminum.

I used to skimp and have the same attitude just like you guys, I got tired of doing the job twice or paying double in the end. I used to have the Cambell and Hausfield air compressor filter. It lasted all of what, a day?

I can't speak for AMW but I do work in manufacturing and I SEROUSLY doubt they support a machine shop soley from selling a catch "can". Supporting the "LS1 Community" isn't their primary focus. Speculation on my part but I don't think I'm to far off. Just look at their website and the machines that they have in house. This is small time **** believe me. Given all the bitching and whining in this thread if I was them I would just stop making it because outside of your own little arrogant worlds it just isn't worth it. There are bigger fish to fry

BTW I'd like to see the urine cup catchcan

They offer other services but this is their only product. Which is not exclusive to the LS1. If they wanted to wax $160 for the can they should have done it from day one. If they are going to double the price at the drop of a hat then they may as well cease production. Consumers will not tolerate that ****.

i understand what you're saying, but we're talking about a catch can here. there are many catch cans available at half the price of this one that not only do the same exact same thing, but look better. this one doesn't even have some type of window to let you know when it's full without having to take the thing apart. but it's their business and i'm sure they've got some brilliant marketing guy making decisions for them...

How about some links to these other catch cans at half price? And explanations on how to easily mount them in our cars. And do they come with hoses and such?

Thanks

Oh yeah? How much did that writing sewn into your back seat that I see in the pic in your signature cost? Is that not bullshit? Does it add HP? Hmm........

we can't post links to non-sponsor items, but go on ebay and type in 'greddy oil 9mm' and you'll find plenty of these things, i found them as cheap as 60bux, and that's with all the hoses and brackets.

Last day guys.

And for all of the comments on the price change of this item I will relay them on to AMW.

I made my can out of a 1 qt paint can. Hoses, clamps and all cost me less than $8. It probably doesn't perform as good as this one though.....(sarcasm)

I havent seen any good comparisons yet, one was a volkswagen to a vette. This is more like a volkswagen to the same volkswagen for double the price. **** how good it works. If two identical items worked just as good yet one was priced doubled would you still buy it? Even if it isnt the only one on the market?

I think the only people who agree with this price hike are:
1. the people who already got theirs - either for $80 or whatever
2. People who ordered theirs and want to pay $140 instead of $159...+ $20 for the bracket.

Can someone just make a 'similar' can to the AMW, add the features it lacks, and put AMW out of business. I think we'd all kiss them good riddance.

If you could see straight it is a chrome logo on the OUTSIDE of my window. Not sewn in the seat. I wouldnt waste my money on back seats.
