I can get you a complete 383 cid LS1 short-block with an Eagle crank, Scat H-Beams, and Mahle Motorsports or Diamond Racing Pistons for $3,450 + shipping. Shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com, and I will e-mail you back with an itemized estimate. Let me know if we're pricing it as a short-block or complete long-block.

Jeff - I sent you an e-mail on a shipping cost for the short-block.

Shipping quote to 33704. Also, I don't know much about the Scat rods, any info on them would be nice! And could I pay a difference and swap out to Diamond pistons?

Shipping to you for a 347 cid short-block would be $257.04 to zip code 33704.

As for the Scat connecting rods, they have been in business for MANY years making crankshafts and connecting rods! They finally released their connecting rods for the LSx engines a few months ago, and they are nothing short of awesome. They rate their H-beams to 900 flywheel HP! To tell you how much we trust them, we just built a 404 cid LS2 for one of our C6's with twin turbos. If there's a limit, we'll certainly find it with that setup! We're building a 402 cid LS2 for our other C6 that will be running nitrous.

If you are wanting to upgrade to a Diamond Racing shelf piston set, the upgrade would be $159 over the Mahle Motorsports piston sets listed.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

Whats the ringland spacing from the top on the off the shelf Mahles...Im looking for something thats gas ported and will hold 400hp of bottle on top of NA use. So far Ross is the only thing that seems to fit the bill right now. Not sure if Mahle does custom application stuff or not.

I have a few questions. How big is your shop? How many years have you been in business? How many people are employed there at your shop? What is your turn around from order date? How much is your crate fee? Ho much for just the shipping to 23111?

Trevor, how much extra would it be for cutting reliefs into the pistons? Thinking of doing the short block & heads but I already have your 231/237 cam.

Mike - For what you're looking for, we would need to build a custom piston. Mahle will build custom pistons, but they are NOT cheap! The wait is pretty incredible as well. Diamond or JE would be the better way to go for customs. Shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com with what you're looking to do, desired compression ratio, etc., and I can get something lined out for you.

Z284U2TRY - We have an 8,000 sq. ft. facility, and next month will be three years in business. We have eight people employed currently and expanding steadily. The turn-around time will depend on if you are building a short-block or long-block. With the current orders in place, build time is 2-3 weeks. It will vary some according to what your building, etc. Shipping to your zip code for a short-block starts at $255.71. I have a few carriers to choose from, but that one is the cheapest I have found for you via Southeastern Freight Lines.

PAGregSS - The pistons will already have valve reliefs in them, so you won't have to worry with cutting any.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions!

The cheapest quote I have received for a 347 cid short-block going to zip code 32955 is $249.12. They estimate three business days to get to you once it leaves our facility. This is assuming that it's going to a business.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if you need me to put a complete estimate together for you. I can also work out a package deal if you are needing some extra parts to go along with the engine, such as bolts, gaskets, timing set, oil pump, camshaft, lifters, etc.

ls1408cp - Mahle rates their pistons for up to a 200 HP shot, generally speaking, before you need to step up with a custom piston set. If you are looking to spray more than that, I can put together a complete estimate for you with a custom-built Diamond Racing piston. This will allow us to lower the ringlands for more nitrous use. Just let me know what your e-mail address is, along with if you're looking for a bare short-block or turn-key long-block, and I will get you a quote.

99camaroY87 - I currently don't have any "on the shelf" ready to ship. I am building quite a few engines right now, and the goal is to have a few assembled short-blocks ready to ship. We have had a great response to the sale pricing, so it's hard to keep assembled short-blocks in stock. Let me know what you're looking for (i.e. short- or long-block, desired pistons, etc.), and I can give you an approximate build time.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions or concerns!
