QUOTE=Ric]Not tryin to hurt your feelings, but the Dana 60 has been put in Ford trucks since the 60s, as well as Mopar musclecars of late 60s-early 70s.

Doesn't hurt my feelings one bit........I mean, they used to put Holley carbs on Fords back in the day as well and that didn't phase me or make me dislike Holley any, it is just having an actual "Ford" part on my GM that makes me cringe.........no biggie, in the end I will go with what is strongest and most reliable, even if <shudder> it is a Ford.

No I have not contactd him yet. When your in the gas you can hear it. I guess i would a call it a jet whistle noise. Its almost bad enough where it makes your ears start ringin almost. When you let off the gas it quiets down a bit. but you can still really hear the noise. I had a few friends drive next to me behind me and what not and they sayed they cant hear it. I must say i honestly cant even hear my exhaust over the noise. For 2K I honestly expected it to be respectivly quiet. 411s sure its ganna have a little whine but its loud.

Installed new dana this weekend. peice of cake, plug and play. One peice of advice- if you have an adjustable tourqe arm take all slack out of back adjustments. I had to remove my ta to readjust. UMI adjustable ta required the mod to top plate, same as the bmr ta.

I used the basic BMR adjustable tq arm with the plate that has two sets of holes for mounting. It fit just fine without any cutting or mod of any kind.
