Will these rear ends be noisy at all or are they quiet like a good stock 10 bolt?

Will the rear cover hit/rub the panhard bar?

What kind of warranty do they come with?

Just ordered one from Speed inc. with True-trac, 4:30 gears, 35 spline axles, backing plates, 3 channel, set up to plug and play and a driveshaft...Very Happy theres an alternative to the 9" and the 12 bolt...

PS: Excellent customer service so far from Speed Inc.

* There are 2 spool offerd in a dana
35 spline lightweight 13 lbs
40 spline lightweight 12 lbs

* We can build the rear end to any length as long as it clears the brackets and I think the shortest you go without interfering with the brackets is 3" from each side.

* We dont not offer any aluminum housing ends.

* On the weight we dont have all the weights with different setups available at the moment but once I know something I'll let you guys know.

* 12 bolts can be very light a full drag one is 148 lbs but its weaker then the dana and when you compare the 2 its like comparing the 10 bolt to to a 12 bolt.

So reading up on Dana rearends...

"Gear sets ranging from 3.54 through 7.17:1 are available, though ratios lower than 4.10 (higher numeric) require a specific carrier."

Does this hold true with your rear martin?

If I go with like a 3.73 setup now, I won't need to change my spool or anything later if I want to go to a different gear...

Martin,

1) at what point would the billet caps be a good upgrade?

2) What yoke comes with this GP, the S-series or the chromoly one?

3) If I went with a 3.73 setup, I could later upgrade to a 4.30(max), correct? I think it requires the use of strange's gear...

4) Does the alum rear cover - D3509 - fit without any issues??

Think thats about all the info I need. Seems like a good choice for the rearend minus the weight factor. Oh well, my car is a pig anyways....

Does rear cover come with a magnet to collect all the metal dust?

Also, what kind of warranty does it come with?

*The billet main caps were designed for the stock dana's and the ones the we build in house have special main caps that take an adjuster nut like ford 9" which means we dont use shims to setup the carrier like the 9" we use the adjuster nut.

* S-series yoke is good upto 900HP which is standard in the dana

* The D3509 LPW cover will not clear the back cross bar of the car but the chrome and the Strange cover will clear just fine

* You can go to 3.73 gear but if you decide to go with shorter gear, a 4.30 US/STRNAGE will work and a 3 series 4.10 will be good too.
