$110.00 is what Moser charges to shorten a rear-end housing. They only give us a $10.00 discount off the price, so give them a call at 260 726-6689 to make arrangements to have it shipped to them.

Our PST 3.5" aluminum driveshaft is rated at 1200 hp, and is the correct length. It comes with a heavy duty 1350 U Joint, so no weaker conversion U Joint is used. This driveshaft will handle the abuse! Bob

No, the Moser nodular iron center section with the Moser 9 inch/Truetrac is $2,400.00 shipped. Moser does not offer their aluminum center section with the Truetrac. I know it is offered with a spool, and I believe it is offered with the Auburn center. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

A new U Joint if you have the stock driveshaft with it's 1310 yoke. Napa pn# 240-0447 goes for $32.00. 3 quarts of non synthetic gear lube, 2 ft of 1/4 vacuum hose for the vent line, two 3.00" exhaust clamps. You use the U part of the exhaust clamps to secure the rear sway bar, and reuse the bottom part of the sway bar bracket after elongating the holes towards the outer ends. The reason for doing this is the Moser housing is larger in diameter than the stock housing. The 3.00" U Bolts fit over the housing.
You also need a bearing press to press off the old axle bearings to remove the brake backing plates that are reused. Most Napa and small shops have a press, it only takes several minutes to do this. You reinstall the backing plates on the new axles, and press on the new Moser supplied axle bearings. Instructions are included from Moser for doing this. The center cover on the new Moser 12 bolt does not ever come off for doing this procedure, by the way. The axles are retained at the ends, as there are no C Clips.
Hopefully this helps. Bob

You dont have to press off the bearings on the stock rear end, they are not attached to the axle. You pull the c-clip and the axle slides out, then 4 bolts hold on the brake bracket to the rear end housing. You do have to press the bearings onto the new axle however. -Jeff

$2430.00 for the Moser 9 inch with the Truetrac, 31 spline axles, drain/fill plugs, no ABS/TCS, and 3.50 gear ratio. This includes shipping. The PST 3.5" aluminum driveshaft, rated at 1200 hp is $399.99 plus shipping. Total is $2830.00 and I'll throw in free shipping on the driveshaft, so the total is $2,830.00. Thanks! Bob

1350 is the standard yoke size, although it can be built with a 1310.

I would estimate shipping to be in the $200.00 neighborhood. It is very hard to calculate shipping as it seems to change daily. Right now fuel prices are down.

4.30, 4.56, 4.88, 5.14 and 5.38 gear ratios are offered above 4.10.

Thanks for inquiring. Bob

Another Bump:

I just wanted to give a special thanks to Don and everyone else over at Exotic Performance Plus. I went to them for my new 9” rear end and install. Everyone there was great to deal with from start to finish. They took the extra time to explain things when I had questions, no rushing me at all.

All I can say is the sales and service are great. If you are looking for a new rear end. Or, anything else since they stock a ton of parts.

Oh yea one other item….. If you need a tune this is the place. I saw a car come in with mid 300RWHP/RWTQ and leave with an additional 100RWHP/RWTQ, this on a Mustang Dyno.

Always nice to find a place like this, I’ll be back.

Bill
