Default Noise filter?

Is there any type of noise filter I can put inline with my amps so that I dont hear the "whine" in my speakers? I have turned the gain almost all the way down on my Eclipse component amp but I still can hear the noise. It is driving me crazy! I have checked and double checked the grounding point and its clean. Any suggestions?

I will have to double check the radio ground but I believe it has to do with the capacitor. I hooked up the amp straight today without my sub to listen and it does not whine. SO that being said I may have to find another grounding point. I did not have enough wire to try another ground. It is alt whine but it is caused by the capacitor amplifying it I guess. Thanks for the respsonses.

I rewired mine this weekend and had the same thing happen. I remembered that if you have your RCA jacks too close to the power or ground it will give you that whine. When you install a system run the power wires down one side and the signal wires down the other. Keep them as far away as possible. Hope this helps.
