DRL, Fogs, Reverse Lights. HID / LED questions
I wanna try to match up all my lights. My DRLs are set to come on only when I turn the lights on at night on the car (Firebird BTW) But they just are not very bright and somewhat dim looking. I hear things about LED bulbs and replacing them and that you need something to put in place like a resistor or something? What bulbs do I need and whats up with this resistor or w/e its called? I just want some bright clear bulbs to kinda fashion with my DRLs.
As for my Fog lights I want to get some HIDs if at all possible to match the headlights. something bright and with a slight blue tint to it. where can I get these at? are they just as simple as putting in the Ballast and installing?
Reverse Lights I guess would go with the DRL bulbs. I just want to make them brighter someone on here had some very bright blueish tinted bulbs. that simply looked amazing. Again I hear about a resistor or something.
Thanks in advance.

DRL = Daytime Running Lights. If you've disabled your DRLs then you only have parking lights running when the headlights are on. The bulbs are dual filament - one bright filament for the DRLs and turn signals and one dim filament for the parking lights. Depending on how you disabled your DRLs, the lights should be bright when you have the parking lights on without the headlights and when you are using your turn signals. They will be dim when the headlights are on.
There are halogen replacement bulbs designed to fit the backup lights. They are almost twice as bright as the stock bulbs but they also generate a lot more heat so you would have to be careful not to leave them on for a long time - not usually a problem for backup lights. BTW, the factory backup light bulbs are already the same output as the original DRL bulbs.

(BTW, I've had them on my Formula for the past few years.)
