10" sub
What is the best sub or top 10" subs that fit/work well in a stealth box for our cars in the trunk area cubby, 02 z, idk if the box is the same for birds..anyway I'm not sure about throwing 2 12's in her yet so thinking about going with a 10/stealth box for now to retain my trunk space and keep it out of sight.
I have alpine type r separates & coaxials behind the stock covers w/ h/u& already so obv. considering a 10" type R to make it a full sys, also thinking about a JL 10" something or other prob a w3 or w6 etc idk much about them, any other suggestions or comments?
are stealth boxes even ported? I miss Deep Bass (had 2 12's in my suv) just separates in the camaro' is killing me, I know thats farfetched with a single 10 in a stealth box as most subs want more cu feet to be optimal, 12's are much deeper but thats not what I'm asking since im pretty sure they won't fit/function in that space.
how do these stealth boxes hit? I'd assume the acoustics aren't bad with the hatch and all but can it really slam? if yes, what are you running?
my separates rattle the mirrors but not my ears haha.
thank you for your time.

JL w7 in the H.O. box. I just got mine put in today, and man oh man does this thing slam. The most unbelievable sq, and the ability to get VERY loud. Rap sounds amazing, and rock sounds so clean and crisp. x10 compared to my 2 10'' W1's. I love it.

I'd also look at some of the Diamond Audio subs. The one I have is optimized for .6 to 1 cubic foot. I've got 900 watts going to it and it vibrates the hair on my head when listening to deep base. I did notice the sub become more musical and go deeper when I had a custom fiberglass box made which allowed a full cubic foot for the sub.
I have the M6 mk2 which they don't make anymore but this one would work nicely if given some power. With small sealed subs you need at least 500 watts.

i figured itd be hard as hell for a shop to make a box for that space, but if its possible I might just go that route if it fits well etc to gain cubes. can they be ported or have to be sealed for that area?

H.O. High Output box made by JL themselves. It is kind of pricey but imo def. worth it. Only thing is you might need to check the box specs. Looks about that size, ya never know, it might drop straight in there pretty nicely.
