my old camaro set up with one 12 type r and 2 6x9s,,,its only super basic because it was only a v6 car that i drove daily,, i also didnt wanna lose the top storage space,,, the ttops are just sitting under the cargo door.. its just sitting there for the pic. the new ta i have has no ttops so i used the well area in that car and inverted the same sub.

My T-tops fit in the space in front of the box and down to the bottom of the trunk. I placed my amp and cap down there for a clean install.

My amp rack was stolen, but I normally lay my t-tops infront of the subs. They fit fine and don't seem to go anywhere. Although one time I had to brake extremely hard and one of the t-tops flew into the back of my seat, scared the **** out of me LOL.

Here is my setup, single 10" in well box, keeps t-top storage free, and just mounted the amp and cap on the flip cover, so just flip it up for storage.

Hey Y'all,
I guess I can kill two birds with one stone on this post. First, I can introduce my system... And second, I do have the ability to carry the T-tops in the car as this thread does ask for.. So here we go....

So first off, my system.. Here are the components:

-Pioneer DEH-P 860MP headunit with hard-wired I-Pod cable

-Kicker SS65.2 6 1/2" components in the front doors and sails

-(2) Kicker L7 12" subs

-Kicker ZX850.4 4ch amp (mids and tweets)

-(2) Kicker ZX1000.1 (one on each sub)

-Custom built amp rack and sub box. Sealed box 1.4cu ft. per sub

-(2) Kenetik batteries: KHC1400 main car batt KHC 1800 second battery in
spare tire well.

-1 farad cap (mostly for looks with neon)

-(4) 12" neon strips

-All 0ga and 4ga wire

Second, and the reason for this thread, the T-tops. As you can see from one of the photos below, I have slots cut in the front of the amp rack just under the amps. The glass fits in these slots and slide under the amp rack and butts up against the box as it goes down into the T-top well in the back. I also have straps that secure the tops in front that keep them from moving around. The tops do stick out enough that I can't fold the rear seat back up completely and lock, but the only person I have in the car usually with me is my fincee, so needing the rear seat is a mute point. Small price to pay to be able to carry my tops with me if needed.

Anyway, this is the way I have gotten around doing a system and keeping the T-tops in the car.

The car:

The headunit:

The amp rack and box:

Here is a shot of the slots where the T-tops go:

Here are some photos with the lights off:

Sorry,
Somehow the post got sent accidently b4 the pics got added. Opps...

The cap and the batteries.. Well, the cap I just kept in the system more for the looks like I said in the post. It has got blue neon on it, so it shows well with the neon I have in there. The batteries are the main source of power, and Kenetik are some of the best.

I know they are. Its just a little overkill. But I'm sure you're getting plenty of power with them! lol

Clean car, btw!

in case you can't tell from the picture, the flap folds back and the t-tops fit in there just fine.

my wife has a box with 2 subs in same spot as jcurrieta. i like how nightmare, devil, and others use the stealth boxes - solid mount, uses unused space, does not interfere with locking t-tops into safe factory location.
